A snelled fly file for a fisherman to carry on their person is described. The file provides a fisherman instant identifiable and organized access to a snelled fly collection, thereby offering convenience and easily visible, instant selection. The two covers hold see-through bags of snelled flies within, each with identification cards whereby two flies can be held within each bag. The lanyard is preferably worn around the fisherman's neck, with instant open access to the flies within. The bags are removably contained between the two covers thereby allowing for the exchange of any bags of flies. This give a fisherman the ability to organize and retrieve his snelled flies as the fishing conditions may warrant.

Snelled fly file

A method of attaching a leader to a snelled fly by connecting a loop bearing a bead at the end of a leader to a snell loop at the end of a leader is disclosed. Generally the snell loop is first slipped over the beaded bead loop. Then, a length of the snell monofilament line is pulled through the bead loop. The snell loop and bead loop are simultaneously pulled in opposing directions forming a bead loop knot with said bead resting on one side of the knot. The process of detaching said knot is a simple reversal of the attachment process. The present method avoids the need of cutting a snell loop to replace a fishing fly and makes it possible to easily untie a loop-to-loop knot and avoid damaging a snell.

Method of attaching a leader to a snelled fly

A safety enclosure providing quick and easy access to the processing area comprising a counter-weighted movable open ended cylinder capable of being raised and lowered and in this lowered position can be securely affixed by swing away clamps to a flanged pressure vessel head containing processing equipment for pyrotechnic materials whereby detonation of materials in the enclosure during processing contains and directs the blast upward through the blast venting protecting the workers and equipment external to said safety enclosure.

A method and apparatus for high-speed precision powder or granular weigh filling and the like. Electronic weighing devices are used in conjunction with a multiplicity of weigh pans which can simultaneously be placed on the weighing devices, filled to a programmed weight, transported and dumped into containers all by a common mechanical system. Reject fills are flagged and are eliminated at a convenient point later on the run out conveyor.

Method and apparatus for high speed weigh fill

A method and apparatus for rapidly and accurately dispensing measured amounts of powdered material from a vibratory feeder with a shaker rod extending through an orifice at the discharge end of the feeder and which rod undergoes reciprocal movement in response to vibration of the feeder to regulate the advancement of the powdered material. Alternate forms of control algorithms are employed in association with a computer to determine the optimum rate of feed and drive level for a given powder and feeder arrangement to result in a specific final weight within an acceptable tolerance for each fill cycle.

Weighing and filling method and apparatus

Precision weighing and filling of comminuted materials is carried out at high speeds by advancing the material to be weighed into a rotatable pan, applying an unbalanced electromagnetic force to the pan so as to cause it to rotate through a predetermined angle to dump the contents into a tiltable discharge funnel and selectively locking the pan in a predetermined rotational position in preparation for refilling and the next dumping operation, all in rapid succession.

High speed precision weighing and filling method and apparatus

A stock or cattle prod for applying an electric shock to stock to induce them to move when loading them for transportation or through a cattle chute or the like comprises a handle having a high voltage generator and a battery therein. A head, which is angularly rotatable relative to the handle structure, is provided, this head having electrical contact means adapted to electrically, conductively contact said handle in any selectable angular position therebetween the head being adapted to extend forward from said handle and comprising a shaft carrying the contact means and, forward from this shaft terminating in a pair of spaced conducting tips or electrodes. The handle is constructed to insulate and protect the high voltage conductors and to provide a convenient switch for energizing the tips. The handle and shaft are constructed to afford rotation of the tips to any desired angle with respect to the operator's hand, both the handle and head being provided with external electrical insulation means effective to protect the operator from the electrical shock voltage, insulation while maintaining the electrical connections to the tips. The head on which the tips are mounted is relatively flat and is adapted to be held in face engagement with an animal's body, this facilitating the effective handling of the prod during use.

A movable framework retains an edge guide apparatus preferably in the form of a slanted rotary member or members, for determining a reference position relative to the edge of a previous tier of roofing shingles. The framework has a chute attached thereto for directing shingles into position with a second guide edge attached to the framework to determine the correct stop position of the shingles relative to the rotary guide. A plurality of fastening devices are pivotally attached to the framework in correct spacing and an actuating handle arranged to pivot these fastening devices in tandem into their proper positions relative to a shingle contained within the chute. The basic framework can accommodate a storage rack for shingles to be used and can be wheel-mounted for ease of movement. Further, the apparatus can be easily arranged to be self-contained by including a storage tank for operating pneumatically actuated fastening devices.
