A cap assembly mountable to a rigid shield around a needle of a syringe. The cap assembly includes a gripper component and a base cap. The gripper component includes a support frame and a liner that is deformable when sandwiched between the support frame and the rigid shield. When the base cap is installed to the gripper component during manufacture, and with the rigid shield disposed in a bore of the gripper component in any rotational orientation relative thereto, the liner is held by the support frame so as to be deformed against and grip the rigid shield for shield removal purposes so as to allow for removal of the rigid shield from around the needle.

Automatic injection device with trigger assembly. The trigger assembly includes a button (), and a single prong () extending from a biased element of the device toward the button. A button-engaging surface () of the prong and a support surface of the device define a radially extending opening in which an actuating element () of the button fits for a radially outward face of the actuating element to be backed up by the support surface. For release of the biased element, when the button is pressed to shift the actuating element to cause a latching surface of the prong to disengage from a latch surface of the device, motion of the actuating element in a direction away from the prong is limited by the radially outward face of the actuating element abutting the support surface.

Automatic injection device with trigger assembly

This document describes connectors for connecting electronics embedded in garments to external devices. The connector is configured to connect an external device to a garment to enable communication between electronics embedded in the garment and electronic components of the external device. The connector may include a connector plug and a connector receptacle. The connector plug may be implemented at the external device and is configured to connect to the connector receptacle, which may be implemented at the garment. In one or more implementations, the connector plug includes an anisotropic material that is configured to connect to a printed circuit board (PCB) implemented at the connector receptacle.

Methods and apparatus are provided for selective surgical removal of tissue, e.g., for enlargement of diseased spinal structures, such as impinged lateral recesses and pathologically narrowed neural foramen. In some embodiments, a surgical tissue removal device includes a flexible elongate body that is adapted to conform with the target anatomy and a guidewire connector at the distal end region of the flexible elongate body configured to removably connect to the end of a guidewire so that the guidewire and flexible elongate body can be pulled distally. The body may have at least one blade edge, and the flexible elongate body may be a thin, flat, ribbon shaped flexible body that comprises a profile having a width that is substantially greater than a height.

Devices and methods for tissue access

An automatic injection apparatus including a delay mechanism for properly delivering medication prior to the needled syringe of the apparatus being retracted. In one form, the delay mechanism includes a shuttle for the syringe, a follower, a locking member, a damping compound between the follower and a supporting surface to dampen rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle, and a dual functioning biasing member acting between the shuttle and the follower. When the locking member moves to a release position during an injection, the dual functioning biasing member first provides a torsional force to force the follower to rotate relative to the shuttle from a latching position to an unlatching position, and then the dual functioning biasing member provides an axial force to force the shuttle axially relative to the follower to move the shuttle for retracting the syringe needle into the housing of the apparatus after injection.

A refill module for use with a plunger assembly and having a housing (), a syringe subassembly (), a carrier () and at least one latching element (). The syringe subassembly is shiftable within the housing from a retracted position to an injecting position at which its injection tip projects beyond the housing end. The carrier has a passageway in which a plunger of a plunger assembly is insertable for advancement of a piston () of the syringe subassembly. The syringe subassembly is engagable by the carrier to be moved from its injecting position to a point at which the injection tip is retracted within the housing when the carrier shifts from a first axial position to a second axial position. The at least one latching element is shiftable relative to the carrier from a retracted arrangement to a latching arrangement such that a latch surface of the latching element restricts a size of the passageway to prevent plunger withdrawal. The carrier is liftable within the housing to retract the injection tip into the housing when the at least one plunger is retracted and a latch abutment surface of that plunger engages the latch surface. When the carrier reaches the second axial position, the at least one latching element is shiftable to move the latch surface clear of the latch abutment surface to allow withdrawal of the at least one plunger from the passageway without further lifting of the carrier.

A stylus for use in the application of a cosmetic includes a wand member having a beveled end with a bevel angle and a second end opposite the beveled end; a cup member having beveled end with the bevel angle and second end opposite the beveled end; a connection member comprising one of a magnet or a metallic material, the connection member being fixably attached to the second end of the cup member; and a protrusion extending from the end face of the second end of the cup member; wherein the wand member and cup member are rotatably connected along an axis of rotation at their respective beveled ends.

A reformer exercise apparatus is disclosed that has a generally rectangular frame. The rail portions of the frame each have an upright outer wall and a hidden outwardly open slot therein. A foot bar support assembly movably carried by each of the outwardly open slots supports the foot bar. Each foot bar support assembly has an elongated slide plate movably supported within the slot, a hook plate fastened to the slide plate, and a foot bar support arm rotatably and slidably fastened to the hook plate. A pair of tubular risers each having a lower and upper roller therein at the head end of the frame direct arm cord ends to a cord retraction assembly mounted on the carriage. The retraction assembly mounted to the carriage releases the cords by pivoting either one of the shoulder stops toward the foot end of the frame.

Described herein are methods for achieving access to a compressed space in spinal anatomy. In some embodiments, a method for achieving access may include the steps of advancing a distal portion of a cannulated probe toward a neural foramen from a lateral side of the foramen, extending a first end of a elongate member from a distal end of the cannulated probe and through the neural foramen from the lateral side to a medial side of the foramen and at least partially around an anterior portion of a facet joint and posterior to a spinal disc, and extending the first end of the elongate member out of the patient, wherein a portion of the elongate member remains curved around the facet joint. In some embodiments, the method may further include the step of extending a first end of an inner cannula from a distal end of the cannulated probe.
