Disclosed is a spring clip apparatus for holding one or more heat generating components, such as field effect transistors (FETs) and diodes, firmly against a heat receiving side of a finned heat radiating device having slots within or between the fins. In a finned heat sink, a moving arm of the clip slides into and makes contact with the heat sink in the slot and the confines of the slot prevent further sideways movement while another arm contact point of the clip holds the component firmly in position against the heat sink opposite the moving arm contact point. Clips may be both single and dual arm and may be configured for holding from one to multiple components in contact with the heat sink. The clip may also be used in a similar manner with a non-finned heat sink.

Component to heat sink spring clip method and apparatus

An apparatus for situating a toroidal inductor having an inductor inner dimension, such as a ferrite bead, onto a rod having a diametral dimension. The apparatus comprises a flexible tubular supporter that has a first end, a second end, a support inner dimension substantially equal to the diametral dimension and a support outer dimension. The supporter flexes when installing the inductor to establish the support outer dimension at less than the inductor inner dimension to allow the inductor to surround the supporter and rod situated intermediate the first and second end with the supporter flexed to establish the support outer dimension at greater than the inductor inner dimension intermediate the inductor and the first and second end. Alternatively, the supporter may be a molded or snap-on cover substantially enclosing the inductor with apertures for frictionally fitting over a rod to secure the inductor in place.

Apparatus and method for situating an inductive element onto a rod in an electrical circuit

Disclosed is a leveraged handle apparatus which may alternatively be used as an ordinary latching and locking device for a hinged door to an enclosed area or as an insertion/extraction device for easily inserting or extracting an electronic module or other container from an enclosure where electrical pins may be damaged by improper insertion techniques, and/or the insertion/extraction forces may be more than can be conveniently provided by a technician. The outer surface of the handle and an associated latch may be flush with the other outer surfaces when the door is closed or the container is fully inserted in the enclosure. When the handle is in an unlatched condition, a spring mechanism is used to encourage the handle toward a fully open position for ease in using a finger pull for extracting or otherwise handling the object to which the handle is attached.
