An electrical device can include at least one electrical device component and at least one sensor that measures at least one parameter. The electrical device can also include an integrated control interface disposed on a housing of the electrical device and coupled to the at least one electrical device component, where the integrated control interface allows for manual control of the at least one electrical device component. The electrical device can further include an access controller communicably coupled to the at least one electrical device component and the at least one sensor. The access controller can receive, from the at least one sensor, a communication sent by a user. The access controller can also control, based on determining that the user has the authority to control the at least one electrical device component, the at least one electrical device component based on instructions.

A modular lighting installation platform includes a home base unit that is configured to be used as a junction box. The home base unit includes a housing that defines a cavity. The cavity houses circuitry that configured to convert a high voltage AC input power to a low voltage DC output power. The home base unit also includes an output port that is configured to removably couple at least one of a light fixture and an accessory to the home base unit via a low voltage cable to provide the low voltage DC output power to the at least one of a light fixture and an accessory.

A lighting fixture includes a lighting device, a motion sensor, and a wireless transceiver configured to transmit and receive wireless signals. The lighting fixture further includes a controller communicably coupled to the lighting device, to the motion sensor, and to the transceiver. The controller is configured to adjust a light provided by the lighting device based on a motion detection by the motion sensor and based on a wireless input signal received by the transceiver indicating whether a second motion is detected by a second lighting fixture.

A motion sensor includes a sensor element to sense a motion, and a controller communicably coupled to the sensor element. The controller is configured to set a detection sensitivity of the motion sensor to a maximum setting of the detection sensitivity. The controller is further configured to decrease the detection sensitivity of the motion sensor upon a detection of the motion until the motion is undetectable by the motion sensor at a decreased setting of the detection sensitivity. The controller is further configured to increase the detection sensitivity of the motion sensor until the motion sensor detects the motion at an increased setting of the detection sensitivity and to set the detection sensitivity of the motion sensor to a new setting based on the increased setting.

An optical attachment feature of a light-emitting diode (LED) lighting system includes an enclosure, a trim, a reflector, and a diffuser. The enclosure can include an enclosure wall forming a cavity and an enclosure collar having a first profile. The trim can include a trim collar that abuts to the enclosure collar, wherein the trim collar has a second profile. The reflector can include an outer surface, an inner surface having reflective material disposed thereon, and a reflector collar having a first optical attachment mechanism. The diffuser can include a diffuser collar, where the diffuser collar can include a second optical attachment mechanism and a third optical attachment mechanism, where the second optical attachment mechanism can couple to the first optical attachment mechanism, and where the third optical attachment mechanism is disposed within a feature formed by the first profile and the second profile when the enclosure collar is mechanically coupled to the trim collar.

A light fixture includes one or more light modules and a sensor module coupled to a housing of the light fixture. The sensor module includes an extension arm and a sensor unit that is rotatably coupled to one end of the extension arm. The other end of the extension arm that is opposite to the end coupled to the sensor unit is pivotably coupled to the housing of the light fixture to pivotably rotate the sensor module between a first position and a second position based on a mounting of the light fixture. Further, the sensor unit is adjustable independent of the extension arm.

A lighting system, for example a portable light, can have at least two configurations that support outputting illumination in at least two different patterns. The lighting system can incorporate at least two light emitting diodes and at least two optics, for example two diffusing lenses or filters. In a first configuration, the light emitting diodes can emit light that provides illumination without incidence on the optics. In a second configuration, the light emitting diodes can emit light that is incident upon and controlled by the optics. Changing between the first and second configurations can move the optics into the respective light paths of the light emitting diodes.

A luminaire includes at least a cover and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes one or more vertical protrusions and one or more horizontal protrusions that are substantially perpendicular to each other. Further, the mounting plate includes a tab that is substantially perpendicular to the one or more horizontal protrusions. The cover includes a pair of top apertures and a tab aperture. During installation of the luminaire, the cover is hung from the mounting plate by inserting each horizontal protrusion of the mounting plate through the respective top aperture of the cover. Alternatively, the cover is hung from the mounting plate by inserting the tab of the mounting plate through the tab aperture of the cover. After installation, the cover may be secured to the mounting plate by inserting the pair of vertical protrusions of the mounting plate through the pair of top apertures of the cover.

A portable light device includes a headlight disposed at one end of the portable light device. The headlight is adjustable and can be directed to a variety of angles. The headlight includes a reflector with facets and at least one light source positioned approximately in an optic center of the reflector. Further, the portable light device includes a floodlight panel disposed at a front side of the portable light device. The flood light panel includes one or more light sources and each light source is covered by a primary optic.

A light emitting diode (LED) lighting system includes an enclosure, a trim, and at least one attachment mechanism. The enclosure can include at least one heat-generating device and an enclosure collar, where the enclosure is made of a first thermally conductive material. The trim can include a trim collar and at least one wall that defines a passage, where the trim collar abuts the enclosure collar, and where the passage has a reflector and a LED is disposed therein. The least one attachment mechanism can removably couple the trim collar to the enclosure collar, where the at least one attachment mechanism includes a back plate that is mechanically coupled to an upper flange and a lower flange, where the upper flange contacts the enclosure collar and the lower flange contacts the trim collar.
