A medical digital expert system to predict a patient's response to a variety of treatments (using pre-treatment information) is described. The system utilizes data fusion, advanced signal/information processing and machine learning/inference methodologies and technologies to integrate and explore diverse sets of attributes, parameters and information that are available to select the optimal treatment choice for an individual or for a subset of individuals suffering from any illness or disease including psychiatric, mental or neurological disorders and illnesses. The methodology and system can also be used to determine or confirm medical diagnosis, estimate the level, index, severity or critical medical parameters of the illness or condition, or provide a list of likely diagnoses for an individual suffering/experiencing any illness, disorder or condition.

Expert system for determining patient treatment response

A system and method for receiving communication signals is provided. According to the method, a plurality of communication signals is received, each communication signal comprising one or more source signals. The plurality of communication signals are multiplexed into a multiplexed signal, which is then converted into a baseband signal. The baseband signal is sampled to produce a digital multiplexed signal comprising a plurality of samples. The samples are interpolated to generate respective interpolated digital signals, which are then subject to a blind signal separation operation to separate each of the source signals.

Multi-channel demodulation with blind digital beamforming

A communication signal receiver and associated method are disclosed. A plurality of communication signals are received at an atenna array and time multiplexed into a single multiplexed signal. Each of the communication signals comprises an unknown mixture of a plurality of source signals from a plurality of communication signal sources. A signal separation network is configured to separate the K source signals from the multiplexed signal.

In a method of processing an input signal, the input signal is divided into a plurality of subbands with the aid of bank of complex valued, single-sided subband filters. The single-sided frequency spectra of the resulting subbands make aliasing negligible at near twice the critical downsampling rates.
