A tissue containment system includes a bag body, a member extending from the bag body and defining a channel, and a viewing window. The bag body at least partially defines an interior region configured to contain a loose tissue specimen and defines an opening sized to receive the loose tissue specimen. The bag body is configured such that a first portion of the bag body can be disposed in an abdominal cavity of a patient while a second portion of the bag body extends outside of the patient. The viewing window is at least partially transparent and provides a seal between the interior region of the bag body and an ambient environment. The channel of the member is configured to receive a tissue visualization device that can be used to view the interior region of the containment bag through the viewing window.

Tissue containment systems and related methods

A specimen carrier includes an elongate member defining an external sealing surface and a support surface upon which a specimen can be carried, the elongate member including a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. The specimen carrier further includes a cap configured to be passed over a portion of the elongate member to close a region of the cap that surrounds the specimen when the cap is passed over the portion of the elongate member, the cap defining an internal sealing surface formed complementary to the external sealing surface, and the cap including a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is greater than the first coefficient of thermal expansion. When the elongate member and cap are together placed in a cooling substance, the internal sealing surface of the cap compresses the external sealing surface of the elongate member to form a hermetic seal.

Low temperature specimen carriers and related methods

A method of adjusting a uterine manipulator includes moving a colpotomizer cup of the uterine manipulator along a curved shaft of the uterine manipulator in a manner such that a distal face of the colpotomizer cup remains centered on an arch centerline of the curved shaft and an axial centerline of the colpotomizer cup remains offset from the arch centerline of the curved shaft at an opening of the colpotomizer cup that is spaced proximally from the distal face of the colpotomizer cup.

Uterine manipulators and related components and methods

A method of adjusting a uterine manipulator includes inserting a shaft of the uterine manipulator into a cervix, moving a colpotomizer sleeve of the uterine manipulator to a predetermined position along the shaft such that the cervix is received within a colpotomizer cup attached to the colpotomizer sleeve, depressing a rotatable locking member of the colpotomizer sleeve towards the shaft, confirming that the colpotomizer sleeve is accurately located at the predetermined position by visualizing a ruler marking of a plurality of ruler markings printed along the shaft using a magnification lens of the rotatable locking member, and compressing the shaft with the rotatable locking member of the colpotomizer sleeve to lock the colpotomizer sleeve at the predetermined position.

A uterine manipulator includes an arcuate shaft configured to be inserted into a cervix and a colpotomizer assembly configured to move along the arcuate shaft. The colpotomizer assembly includes a cup configured to receive the cervix. The cup defines a cup face disposed substantially perpendicular to an axial centerline of the cup and having a centerpoint disposed along the axial centerline of the cup, and an opening spaced apart from the cup face and sized to allow passage of the arcuate shaft. The opening is configured such that, when the arcuate shaft is positioned within the opening, an arcuate centerline of the arcuate shaft is aligned with the centerpoint of the cup face, and the arcuate centerline of the arcuate shaft is offset from the axial centerline of the cup at the opening.

A uterine manipulator includes a shaft configured to be inserted into a cervix and a colpotomizer assembly configured to move along the shaft. The shaft includes multiple ruler markings printed along a portion of the shaft. The colpotomizer assembly includes a sleeve that includes a rotatable locking member configured to compress the shaft in a manner that locks the colpotomizer assembly in position along the shaft when the rotatable locking member is depressed against the shaft. The rotatable locking member includes a cam roller configured to compress the shaft when the rotatable locking member is depressed towards the shaft.

A surgical access device includes a proximal housing having proximal and distal end portions, the distal end portion of the housing being configured and adapted to engage a proximal portion of a flexible wound retractor. The proximal housing can be provided with a plenum chamber being defined therein, the plenum chamber being in fluid communication with at least one nozzle. The nozzle is preferably configured to direct pressurized fluid in an axial direction from the plenum chamber into a central bore of the surgical access device to provide a constant gaseous seal around a surgical instrument inserted therethrough, while inhibiting a loss of pressurized fluid from the body cavity therethrough. The plenum chamber can be adapted and configured to receive pressurized fluid and conduct the pressurized fluid to the at least one nozzle.

Low-profile surgical access devices with anchoring

Disclosed is multi-flow filter cartridge assembly that includes an elongated housing that has axially opposed proximal and distal ends and defines an interior cavity and first, second and third flow paths which extend from the proximal end of the housing to the distal end. The cartridge assembly also includes first, second and third filter elements. The first filter element is disposed within the interior cavity of the housing and conditions fluid that traverses the first flow path from a first inlet port to a first outlet port. The second filter element is disposed within the interior cavity of the housing and conditions fluid that traverses the second flow path from a second inlet port to a second outlet port. Lastly, the third filter element is also disposed within the interior cavity of the housing and conditions fluid that traverses the third flow path from a third inlet port to a third outlet port. The first flow path is isolated from the second and third flow paths and the second flow path is isolated from the third flow path.

Multi-flow filtration system

A laminated web is used for etching characters, symbols or other shapes initially scribed in a layer of stencil sheet material including one of the layers of the web and the scribed stencil sheet is subsequently separated from the remaining web and used in an electrochemical etching process. The web is adapted to be used in an automatic sign maker wherein it is scribed on automatically as a result of instructions issued from a controller and the scribed markings are then used as a negative image in the etching process of an article surface.
