An object detection apparatus including a light intensifier tube for use on an overland vehicle is described and which includes an electromagnetic radiation emitter which emits electromagnetic radiation which is reflected from an object of interest; and an electromagnetic radiation receiver which discriminately receives the reflected electromagnetic radiation at predetermined time intervals and which provides an output signal from which information regarding the object of interest may be derived.

Object detection apparatus

In a method and a circuit for controlling an amount of pelletized material that is dispensed from a pellet dispenser, the dispenser is driven at the same speed during each one of a plurality of pellet dispensing cycles. The frequency of dispenser operation is varied by varying the time interval between pellet dispensing cycles. The circuit includes two timers, an OFF timer which is connected to a counter that counts the number of 'off' timing signals in each 'off' period and an ON timer that receives a triggering signal from the counter when the 'off' period is completed. A switch is connected to the counter to select this number of 'off' timing signals. The 'off' time period can also be altered by altering the time base of the OFF timer. This is accomplished with a resistance circuit that is connected to a timing circuit for the OFF timer, through either a user-controlled timer or a temperature-responsive switch.

Method and circuit for timing chemical dispenser operation

A heat dissipating and mounting structure for an electrical circuit includes a disc which is mounted to a rotatable shaft. The disc extends outward from the shaft to present a front surface upon which the circuit is mounted and a rear surface upon which cooling fins are formed. A pair of openings are formed in the disc and cooling air flows through them when the shaft rotates. The cooling fins are rotated through the air flowing through the disc openings and heat generated by the electrical circuit is carried away with little temperature rise and minimal disturbance of the air flow.

Heat sink for rotating electronic circuitry

Two monitor circuits, each having a light emitting diode, are connected to the inputs and outputs of an SCR current control circuit on a brushless a-c generator. The current control circuit and the attached monitoring circuits are mounted on a rotating shaft and information regarding the operation of the rotating current control circuit is obtained by observing the light patterns generated by the light emitting diodes.
