A method for fabricating a suspended transmission line includes supporting a first conductive trace on a first side of a dielectric support layer. A second conductive trace is supported on a second side of the support layer. The first and second conductive traces are connected at spaced intervals. A first spacer is formed outwardly of the first side of the support layer A second spacer is formed outwardly of the second side of the support layer. A first plate is disposed outwardly of the first spacer and includes a first ground plane displaced from the first conductive trace. A second plate is disposed outwardly of the second spacer and includes a second ground plane displaced from the second conductive trace.

Method for fabricating suspended transmission line

A suspended transmission line with an embedded signal channeling device includes a support layer and a conductor supported by the support layer between first and second plates each having a ground plane. The conductor includes a combined signal line and a plurality of discrete signal lines extending from the combined signal line. The discrete signal lines each transmit a portion of a signal transmitted on the combined signal line. A propagation structure is disposed between the first and second plates to substantially contain an electromagnetic field generated by the propagating signal.

A propagation structure is positioned between the ground planes to substantially contain an electromagnetic field generated by a signal transmitted on the conductor.

A suspended transmission line with an embedded amplifier includes a support layer and a conductor supported on the support layer between first and second plates each having a ground plane. The conductor includes an input section and an output section. A propagation structure is disposed between the first and second plates to substantially encompass an electric field generated by a signal transmitted on the conductor. An amplifier is coupled to the input and output sections of the conductor and is at least substantially disposed between the first and second plates. The amplifier operates to amplify an input signal received on the input section to generate an output signal on the output section.

Tunable varactor diodes are utilized to adjust the filter frequency of a waveguide filter operating in evanescent mode. Because evanescent mode signals in a waveguide attenuate as they propagate, and because shunt capacitance between a waveguide and the surroundings can change the frequency at which the signals attenuate, controlling the shunt capacitance can filter the signals passing along the waveguide.

Disclosed is an eye alignment apparatus which mounts on the bow and allows the archer to properly position the archer's eye with the bow and the aiming indicia, if any, otherwise mounted on the bow. The eye alignment apparatus includes a framework, a lens, a second alignment indicia on or near the lens, and a first alignment indicia spaced apart from the second alignment indicia. Additional features include a level indicator and an angular adjustment mounting mechanism.

A dual band, stacked microstrip antenna produces circular polarization. A two-layer, 90.degree. microstrip coupler is mounted to a hi-band patch and a lo-band patch and provides two inputs to the antenna to excite two orthogonal linearly polarized radiation patterns in quadrature. The coupler outputs are connected to the antenna by two conducting pins that connect directly to the groundplane of the lower patch. The coupler uses the hi-band patch as a groundplane and is transparent to the radiation from the antenna. An antenna input connector is connected to the coupler input by means of a coaxial line through the center of the antenna. The isolation port is terminated in a surface mounted 50-ohm resister to ground through a quarter wave length open transmission line.

An archery sight having a frame for bow attachment. Pairs of crosshair support members on the frame support the ends of each crosshair. Each support member includes a main portion from which project spaced apart grips between which the end of a crosshair is inserted. The grips are supported by flexible webs. Edge surfaces on each web forcefully engage the sight frame upon tightening of a nut on the support member to flex the webs and displace the grips into gripping engagement with the end of the crosshair.

A sight for attachment to an archery bow and including a base having parallel guides along which sight pins may be vertically adjusted. A series of fiber optics extend one each through the sight pins and terminate therein to provide an illuminated bead. The opposite ends of the fiber optics are each in light receiving relationship with a collector and conductor member in place on the sight base. The light collector and conductor members are formed of a polymer with fluorescent material and have a relatively large light collecting surface area and a small light emitting edge area which emits light to the ends of the fiber optics. The light collector and conductor members may include curved segments as well as tapered segments to provide a suitable ratio of light collecting surface area to light emitting edge area to assure brightly illuminated sight pins. An interface between the light collector and conductor members may include bores formed within the light collector and conducting members into which the fiber optic ends are insertably seated.

A sight is shown on an archery bow with the sight formed from a light collecting and conducting plastic. A bead of the sight is formed by a face located on end segment at one end of an elongate, tapered main member. The main member has a relatively large, light collecting surface area to assure bead illumination in low light conditions. The light waves collected by the main member are internally conducted by the sight formed from a transparent plastic with a fluorescent dye dispersed therein. One form of sight utilizes mechanical components for attachment to a bow while a modified form forms such components from the plastic material.

An archery bow sight is disclosed having a tubular member within which are plate members disposed in intersecting planes. Sight components are of transparent plastic having a fluorescent dye dispersed therein. The tubular member and plate member surface areas absorb light waves and conduct the waves to their respective edges to provide a brilliant reticle for use in low light conditions without reliance on artificial light sources. The mounting plate receives a base of the sight in an adjustable manner. Ultraviolet light waves are converted by the sight into visible light waves.

Sight

A sight base includes an upright pair of guides on which sight pin carriers are slidably mounted. Fiber optics are carried by the base with a fiber optic end, constituting an illuminated sight bead, carried by a tubular sight pin on each sight pin carrier. The remaining ends of the fiber optics are bundled in a positionable sleeve for light gathering purposes.
