A harvesting machine includes a harvesting header with a header frame, a cutterbar assembly attached to the header frame along the length thereof and configured to cut a crop, and a draper assembly positioned behind the cutterbar assembly and operable to receive severed crop material from the cutterbar assembly. The draper assembly includes a center draper that delivers crop material to a feeder house of the harvesting machine and oppositely spaced side drapers that deliver crop material to the center draper. The harvesting header is operable to flex and thereby follow an uneven terrain.

A harvesting header includes a header frame, a flexible cutterbar assembly mounted to the header frame, a plurality of laterally spaced apart support arms, and a draper assembly. The support arms are attached to and cooperatively support the cutterbar assembly and are pivotally coupled to the frame for swinging movement about a laterally extending axis. The draper assembly includes a side draper carried on multiple ones of the support arms so as to flex with the cutterbar assembly. The draper assembly includes rollers and a roller frame that operably interconnects the interior support arm and a respective one of the rollers.

A harvesting header includes a header frame, a flexible cutterbar assembly, and a plurality of laterally spaced apart support arms that are attached to and cooperatively support the flexible cutterbar assembly. The header also includes a draper assembly with a side draper carried on multiple ones of the support arms so as to flex with the cutterbar assembly. The side draper includes an endless flexible draper belt presenting laterally endmost margins, with upper and lower crop-conveying runs extending between the margins. The header further includes pivoting structure mounted relative to the header frame at a rear pivot location so that the pivoting structure projects forwardly from the rear pivot location.

A harvesting header having a flexible cutterbar assembly utilizes draper belts behind the cutterbar assembly to gently consolidate the severed crop materials and deliver them to a point of discharge and delivery, such as to the feederhouse of a combine harvester. The cutterbar assembly is supported by pivotable support arms such that it is operable to flex along the length thereof in response to changes in terrain as the header is advanced. One embodiment has draper assemblies and a central conveyor fixed relative to the flexible cutterbar assembly, while another has the draper assemblies and central conveyer flexible with the cutterbar assembly.

A harvesting machine includes a draper header with a header frame, a crop-cutting assembly attached to the header frame along the length thereof and configured to cut a crop, and a draper assembly positioned behind the crop-cutter assembly and operable to receive severed crop material from the crop-cutter assembly and convey the material laterally. The draper assembly includes a draper belt with a crop-retaining rib to retain severed crop material on the draper belt and to restrict movement of the crop material back to the crop-cutting assembly. At least one belt guard is attached to and disposed along the crop-cutting assembly.

A collecting trough construction for facilitating the clean out of collecting troughs of clean grain and tailings collecting and conveying systems of agricultural combines, such collecting trough construction including a base pan sized and dimensioned to extend longitudinally between first and second cross-pieces of such a collecting and conveying system, one of which cross-pieces may be a clean grain auger trough or a tailings auger trough, and laterally generally between the sidesheets of a combine, with collecting troughs formed in the upper side thereof, which base pan has first and second ends and is positionable between the first and second cross-pieces with the first end of the auger trough base pan adjacent the first cross-piece and the second end of the auger trough base pan adjacent the second cross-piece to be readily complementarily engageable therewith and wholly or partially disengageable therefrom by a user to permit convenient access to the formed collecting troughs for cleaning thereof. Preferably, the base pan is, alternatively, partially detachable to permit access for cleaning by a user in an in-place clean-out position or wholly removable to permit the removal of such base pan to a remote location for cleaning by the user thereat.

A clean grain and tailings conveying system for an agricultural combine, including a pan fixedly mounted beneath a lowermost sieve of a cleaning system. The pan includes a tailings receiving portion disposed below a peripheral edge portion of the sieve, for receiving tailings which fall downwardly from the edge portion during operation of the sieve, and a clean grain receiving portion disposed beneath the sieve for receiving clean grain which falls downwardly therethrough during the operation of the sieve. The pan includes at least one elongate collecting conveyor including a clean grain collecting portion which extends longitudinally through the clean grain receiving portion of the pan, and a tailings collecting portion which extends longitudinally through the tailings receiving portion, for separately receiving and collecting the clean grain and the tailings received by the pan, and conveying the clean grain and tailings to transfer conveyors that can also be part of the pan.

A sieve support structure including an elongate first rail, an elongate second rail, and rigid elongate compression members pivotally connected to and extending between the first and second rails at longitudinally spaced locations therealong, wherein the rails and the compression members form a rail assembly having a predetermined shape bounding a correspondingly shaped space, the rail assembly being configured for supporting a sieve of a cleaning system in at least substantially covering relation to the space, the structure including elongate tension members extending generally diagonally through the space and having opposite end portions connected to the first and second rails and being tensioned so as to simultaneously urge the rails against the compression members so as to apply a compression force thereagainst for retaining the rail assembly in the predetermined shape in opposition to forces urging the assembly from the shape.
