A photopolymer development resin base is available for use with additive manufacturing units (for example, various three-dimensional printers) to create three-dimensional (3D) printed structures. In some embodiments, the resin formula can include a monomer, oligomer, diluent, photo initiator, deflocculents, wetting agents, and dispersants, with a limit on any photo-blockers, if present at all. The photopolymer development resin base functions as a binder precursor material with the capacity to accept solid powders or liquids for UV printing, which is not configured to print 'as is.'

Systems and methods for analyzing body fluids

Three-dimensional (3D) printing systems include a 3D printer that includes a print bed that has one or more walls arranged to enclose a basin configured to contain a printing material. A compression plate is configured to fit slidably within, or on top surfaces of, the one or more walls of the print bed. A bottom plate forms a base of the basin and is configured to fit slidably within the one or more walls of the print bed. An elevation controller moves one or both of the compression plate and the bottom plate towards each other to apply a specified compressive force on printing material within the basin. The compression plate and the bottom plate together seal the basin sufficiently to avoid leakage of the print material from the basin.

Three-dimensional (3D) printing

This invention relates to methods, articles and compositions useful in detecting target substances in an alcoholic preservative solution, and for identifying sensors useful for binding to such targets. The methods allow for the simultaneous performance of sufficient fixation of a sample and binding of a detectable sensor to a target of interest in the sample. In one aspect, a method is provided that comprises contacting a sample suspected of containing a target with a detectable sensor molecule known to bind to such target in an alcoholic preservative solution. The method maybe performed in multiplex form to permit simultaneous analysis of a plurality of targets. Methods for identifying a sensor capable of binding to a desired target in an alcoholic preservative solution are also provided. An alcoholic preservative solution comprising one or more such detectable sensors is also provided. Also provided is a sample comprising a bound sensor provided by such a process. Also provided are kits useful for such methods.

Methods, systems and computer readable media for processing one or more biological specimens carried by specimen slides. Images of objects in a specimen are acquired and objects of interest in the acquired images are identified. Additional images of identified objects of interest may be acquired at multiple wavelengths. Cellular features of objects of interest are extracted from images and may be used for classifying the specimen, e.g., as normal or suspicious/abnormal, based a probabilistic model that utilizes the extracted features.

A cytological material sample collection device comprises a cylinder having a longitudinal bore extending there through. The sample collection device further comprises a filter membrane configured for collecting a layer of cytological material when the bore is subjected to negative pressure. The sample collection device further comprises a drip guard disposed on the cylinder proximal to the membrane. The drip guard may include at least one access port in fluid communication with the bore. The sample collection device may further comprise a chuck that selectively mates with the cylinder, so that, after usage of the sample collection device, the cylinder can be discarded, while the chuck can be reused with subsequent cylinders.
