The present disclosure provides a mortar bed gauge device, system, and method that create a predetermined mortar bed thickness. The mortar bed gauge device includes a web of extruded polymer monofilaments having indentations on a surface of the web. The mortar bed gauge system includes the web located between a substrate layer and a finish layer. The mortar bed gauge method includes supplying the web, laying the web onto the substrate layer, placing a mortar composition onto the web, and measuring the amount of composition being placed on the web by the thickness of the web.

The present disclosure provides a clip for securing a support channel in an acoustical ceiling mount and a building construction having a wall, flooring, or ceiling assembly that displays improved acoustic characteristics. The clip includes a body having a penetration-resistant base, a channel interface extending outwardly from a portion of the base configured to engage the support channel, and an opening in another portion of the base, a grommet engaged in the opening of the body, and an insert engaged in the grommet. The channel interface includes at least a first slot configured to receive a channel fastener to secure the support channel to the clip. The clip may be operatively coupled with a support channel and disposed in a building construction between the support channel and a finished interior element.

The present disclosure provides a roof ventilation system and method that provides ventilation for a roof while further providing simpler ventilation installation, prevention of ice dams, a non-slip surface to walk on, and a secondary membrane to prevent moisture intrusion into the living space or walls. The roof ventilation system provided by the invention includes vertical side walls having a top portion. A roof extends outwardly and beyond the vertical side walls. The roof has a top surface facing away from the vertical side walls. A web of extruded polymer monofilaments is secured to the top surface of the roof. The polymer monofilaments are heat welded at junctions to form a matrix of tangled monofilaments. The method for ventilating a roof of a building provided by the invention includes installing a web of extruded polymer monofilaments on a top surface of the roof.

Roof ventilation system and method

The present disclosure provides a venting material that includes a web of extruded polymer monofilaments covered by a screen. The polymer monofilaments are heat welded at junctions to form a matrix of tangled monofilaments. The web allows for direct pathways for ventilation without the issues of clogging or ice dams. The screen allows for air passage while providing a barrier for insects and other outside elements. The venting material may be included in a roof ventilation system between vertical side walls and a fascia of a building. The venting material may be installed between vertical side walls and a fascia of a building as a method for ventilating a roof of the building.

A drainage mat for use in building structures, particularly in exterior walls and roofing, to improve drainage and ventilation within such structures. The drainage mat includes a web of extruded polymer monofilaments that are heat welded at junctions to form a matrix of tangled monofilaments. The web includes on its front face an alternating array of ridges and planar regions, each ridge having a substantially trapezoidal shape with a top surface and a base, the width of the top surface being less than the width of the base.

Sound control mat

A building fa&#xe7;ade system adapted to be installed onto an exposed surface of a building and provide a substrate for installation of fa&#xe7;ade elements (e.g., stone, stucco and the like). The system preferably provides a corrosion-resistant structure adapted to withstand extended environmental exposure. In general, the system includes a highly porous three dimensional matrix filamentous polymeric mat and a fiberglass mesh layer associated therewith. Collectively, the polymeric mat and fiberglass mesh layer are adapted to be installed onto an exposed building wall and provide a substrate onto which desired fa&#xe7;ade elements may be installed.

Building facade construction system and methods therefor

A noise control flooring system is presented herein for reducing noise transmission in a building structure that contains the system. The system comprises a solid substrate layer, a compressible layer overlying at least a portion of the substrate layer, and an entangled net layer that overlies at least a portion of the compressible layer, wherein the net layer is comprised of multiple polymer filaments and air, together forming a void space. A separation layer overlies at least a portion of the entangled net layer. The separation layer carries a floating solid substrate layer thereupon. This solid substrate layer provides loading for causing the compressible layer to compress into the overlying entangled net layer.
