Systems and methods for a battery separator system integrating a DC contactor (solenoid) plus control electronics and all required interconnects into a single sealed enclosure for the purpose of selectively connecting and disconnecting a main and auxiliary battery under predetermined conditions. Battery monitoring and control includes programmable time delays that immunize the system from reacting to transient conditions as well as monitoring for and correcting unintended states and disabling operation when voltage conditions fall outside of prescribed limits.

Systems and methods for separating batteries

Provided are improvements for systems and methods of alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power regulation. The system improvements include a regulation circuit that controls a silicon controlled rectifier circuit. Method improvements include one or more of SCR load sharing, adaptive voltage droop compensation, and/or voltage rebound compensation.

Voltage regulator

Provided are improvements for systems and methods of alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power regulation. The system improvements include a regulation circuit having a microprocessor that controls a silicon controlled rectifier circuit. Method improvements include one or more of SCR load sharing, adaptive voltage droop compensation, and/or voltage rebound compensation.

A solid state electronic power switch selectively controls power delivered to a load such as a fan. A momentary contact control switch is provided which is connected to a switching logic circuit whose output state changes when the control switch is activated. A plurality of power control circuits are connected in parallel with one another and in series with a load across a power source. Each of the power control circuits includes either an SCR or a triac element. A turn-on control circuit is provided connected to the SCR or triac for initial turn-on only when a voltage across the element is small compared to a peak-to-peak voltage across it prior to application of gate voltage. With the system of the invention, the load such as a fan can be operated at various discrete power levels without the associated mechanical and electrical noise problems of previous systems.

Solid state electronic power switch

An infrared transmitter and control circuit for a load such as a ceiling fan which is capable of starting and regulating the speed of the ceiling fan as well as reversing the direction of the ceiling fan, controlling a light. The apparatus allows the selective control of a single one of a plurality of ceiling fans such that operation of the control does not cause all of the ceiling fans to change speed. The apparatus eliminates the need for running wiring between the ceiling fan and a switch and saves substantial installation costs.

Infrared transmitter and control circuit

A multiple position power control switch is connected in series with a load across a power source. A five position rotary switch permits the load to be selectively operated at four different power levels. The fifth position of the switch provides 'OFF' operation. With the invention, component cost is reduced and power level control of a load is achieved with minimum power dissipation.
