A mounting system for an aircraft galley that quickly and easily secures an insert while preserving an air gap between the insert and a work deck upper surface for venting purposes. The platform includes a linkage that can transform from a 'Y' shaped configuration to a 'T' shaped configuration. When the linkage is in the &#x201c;Y&#x201d; shaped configuration, the outer extensions or locking pins do not extend to the side walls of the platform. However, once the insert is properly seated on the platform, the linkage can be transformed from the &#x201c;Y&#x201d; configuration to a &#x201c;T&#x201d; configuration such that the locking pins extend through the side walls of the platform and through holes in the side walls of the insert. In this manner, the insert can be secured to the platform without screws or other permanent fixtures.

Galley insert mounting system

An improved aircraft air chiller unit particularly suited for an aircraft galley that requires refrigerated or cooled beverage/meal carts and/or chilled storage compartments. The chiller of the present invention takes the form of a line replaceable unit ('LRU') and incorporates a liquid-cooled refrigerant vapor compression cycle, arranged in a housing with a vertical orientation. Because of the vertical orientation, ducting on the rear surface of the chiller is omitted, reducing the overall footprint.

Aircraft air chiller with reduced profile

A chiller for an aircraft galley is disclosed having a housing defining an interior space, the housing including dividers to segregate the interior space into separate chambers. The chambers are enclosed by a pair of doors on a front of the housing that allow a user to gain access to the chambers, a first door providing access to at least one chamber and a second door providing access to at least one different chamber. A side door is also provided that permits access to at least one chamber, wherein at least one chamber is not accessible through said side door.
