A damaged portion of a pipeline buried in a trench is gradually lifted from the trench to expose the damaged portion above water and provide easy access to the damaged portion. Inflatable roller bags are placed under the pipeline adjacent the damaged portion; the roller bags are then inflated in a controlled manner using a computer-based control unit. A control manifold is connected to the control unit and each of the roller bags by a separate air conduit allowing controlled bag-inflation and bag-deflation process for each roller bag. Once the pipeline is repaired, the roller bags are deflated, lowering the pipeline back to its original position in the trench.

Buried pipeline repair system

A system for refloating a grounded floatable vessel uses cylinder-shaped inflatable buoyant rollers that are placed under the vessel hull, inflated until they support the bottom hull and then caused to roll seaward while carrying the vessel into the water. An independently propelled vehicle pulls the vessel resting on the rollers into the water. An operator wirelessly controls inflation and deflation of the rollers to ensure stability of the vessel during the refloating operation.

System for refloating grounded vessels

A binder formulation comprised of colloidal silica and a polymeric binder, preferably polyvinyl alcohol. A mineral pellet and related low temperature hardening process for making the same. The mineral pellet has sufficient strength to be transported and has sufficient strength for use in iron-making processes.

A multiple tone signaling device provides a piezoelectric transducer, first, second and third oscillator circuits, a first input terminal for enabling either or both of the first and second oscillator circuits, circuitry coupling the third oscillator circuit to the first and second oscillator circuits for disabling either the first or second oscillator circuits in response thereto, and a second input terminal coupled to the third oscillator circuit for allowing control of the output of said third oscillator circuit.

Multiple tone signaling device

A remote alarm system provides a transmitter having an audio frequency signal generator circuit, a modulator circuit forming a current source modulated by the audio frequency signal and a radio frequency oscillator circuit modulated by the current source, and a receiver having a super-regenerative detector, an amplifier connected thereto, a notch filter for selectively filtering the audio frequency signal, an alternating current rectifier for rectifying the audio frequency signal, a delay circuit for delaying activation of an alarm signal until a signal from the rectifier circuit is present for a predetermined amount of time and for determining a period of time for activation of an alarm signal, and an alarm means for generating an alarm signal in response to the output of the delay circuit.
