An assembly of interconnected containers includes a plurality of containers each of which has an upper portion connected to a lower portion by a hinge or hinges with the upper portion having a pair of elongated generally parallel upwardly open channels. The container also has a pair of generally parallel generally downwardly projecting flanges structured to engage an upwardly open channel of an adjacent container and adjacent containers have either at least one of the channels engaged by a flange of an adjacent container or at least one of its flanges engaged in a channel of an adjacent container or both. The channels are preferably open having at least one end so as to permit relative sliding removal and insertion of the containers from and into the assembly. In another embodiment, a rail and flange structure is provided to interengage adjacent containers within an assembly. A container can also be provided that has a lid portion hingably attached to the upper portion of the container. This &ldquo;split&rdquo; clamshell embodiment permits articles to be removed from the container without removal of the container from the assembly of interconnected containers. The containers may be transparent and molded as a unit with integrally formed hinges. Support structures may be provided within the container to support one or more articles disposed therein. Individual containers for use in such an assembly are disclosed.

A multiple-function mechanical coupling having inner and outer races, the outer race having an internal surface with peripherally spaced pockets defining ramp surfaces, the inner race having an outer surface with peripherally spaced pockets defining ramps that are situated adjacent corresponding ramp surfaces of the outer race. The inner race surrounds a circular torque transfer shaft. The inner race is split to permit radial expansion of the effective diameter of the inner race. A plurality of clutch rollers is received in the recesses in the inner surface of the outer race and the outer surface of the inner race whereby the races are locked together and the inner race establishes frictional engagement of the torque delivery.

The clutch and brake system establishes and disestablishes torque flow paths while preventing simultaneous clutch or brake engagement. Simplified clutch and brake system actuators trigger the application and release of the clutches and brakes during ratio changes.

Multiple-ratio automatic transmission with multiple-function roller

A limited slip viscous differential in which the housing therefor is gearingly connected with the drive axle and rotates therewith. Each of two output axles from the limited slip viscous differential is connected internally to a viscous coupling for transferring torque from the drive axle to at least one of the two output axles when at least one of the two output axles is rotating an angular velocity different from that of the housing. A structure is provided for releasably retaining each of the output axles within the housing.
