A robotic device for operation in association with an appendage of a user, wherein the appendage of the user has an endpoint, the robotic device comprising: a base; and a robotic arm attached to the base and having an end-point, the robotic arm having at least two active degrees of freedom relative to the base and being configured so that when the base is appropriately positioned relative to a user, the reference frame of the robotic device is oriented generally similarly to the reference frame of the user and motions of the endpoint of the appendage of the user are mimicked by motions of the endpoint of the robotic arm.

Systems, methods, and computer program products for mitigating signal noise at a wireless smart device reader are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method (performed at a wireless smart device reader) that includes receiving a signal from a wireless smart device and checking for an error in a portion of the signal. In response to detecting the error, an error flag is set in an error register to indicate the presence of noise in the signal portion. The error register is repeatedly polled in order to detect the setting of the error flag. In response to detecting the setting of the error flag, a command to eliminate the signal portion is issued.

A water bottle and support assembly for a golf bag includes a retainer bracket, a hanger strap and retaining belt for mounting the retainer bracket on the golf bag, and a water bottle supported by the bracket. The retainer bracket has a front surface provided with a vertically extending dovetail groove, and the water bottle has a corresponding dovetail tongue thereon sized to fit within the groove, so that the bottle can be easily and quickly installed or removed.

A coupler for connecting a hose to an engine exhaust duct for conveying products of combustion to the outside of an enclosed area. Permanent magnets enable mounting of the coupler to be quickly made. A handle spaced from the coupler bracket enables the magnetic attraction between the coupler and the engine block to be broken without touching the hot metal. A spring tensioned gas tube is urged into engagement with the engine exhaust duct when the coupler is in operative position.
