A Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI) maintains hardware-trusted communications. In the NFVI, a hardware-trust controller executes at a Ring 0 security level. A target Virtual Switch (vSW) executes under control of the hardware-trust controller. The hardware-trust controller transfers hardware-trust data to the target vSW that indicates hardware-trusted vSWs. The target vSW receives a Virtual Data Unit (VDU) from a source vSW. The target vSW transfers the VDU when the source vSW is one of the hardware-trusted vSWs. The target vSW blocks the VDU when the source vSW is not one of the hardware-trusted vSWs.

Virtual network function (VNF) hardware trust in a network function virtualization (NFV) software defined network (SDN)

A communication system facilitates a voice communication session for a wireless communication device. A Long Term Evolution (LTE) network exchanges Voice over LTE (VoLTE) communications with the wireless communication device for the voice communication session and determines LTE packet loss metrics for the voice communication session. The LTE network transfers the voice communication session to a Wireless Fidelity (WIFI) network. The WIFI network exchanges Voice over WIFI (VoWIFI) communications with the wireless communication device for the voice communication session and determines WIFI packet loss metrics for the voice communication session. A network controller compares the LTE packet loss metrics with the WIFI packet loss metrics to determine a packet loss configuration for the WIFI network. The network controller transfers a packet loss instruction to the WIFI network. The WIFI network receives the packet loss instruction and responsively implements the packet loss configuration on the voice communication session.

Wireless communication system to optimize device performance across wireless communication networks

A Network Function Virtualization (NFV) Software Defined Network (SDN) maintains hardware trusted communications. A source trust controller and a target trust controller establish hardware trust with a trust server. The trust server exchanges information with the source trust controller that indicates the hardware trust for a target vSW. The source trust controller exchanges the information with the source vSW that indicates the hardware trust for the target vSW. The source vSW receives a Virtual Data Unit (VDU) from the source VNF for delivery to the target VNF over the target vSW, and before transfer, the source vSW verifies hardware trust of the target vSW based on the HT information. Responsive to the hardware trust verification, the source vSW transfers the VDU for the delivery to the target vSW. The target vSW transfers the VDU to the target VNF.

Systems and methods discussed herein relate to enabling communications between IPv4 and IPv6 hosts using a communication channel in a trusted security zone associated with a first host to determine the IP-versions and/or other security features that may be present or enabled on the first host or the second host.

A wireless communication system to optimize device performance across wireless communication networks. A wireless communication device communicates over a first wireless communication network. The first wireless communication network determines first performance metrics. Communication is transferred to a second wireless communication network. The second wireless communication network determines second performance metrics. A control processing system compares the first performance metrics with the second performance metrics to determine configuration instructions for the second wireless communication network, and transfers the configuration instructions to the second wireless communication network. The second wireless communication network modifies a network configuration based on the configuration instructions and determines third performance metrics. The control processing system compares the first performance metrics with the third performance metrics to determine a user notice related to session quality on the second wireless communication network. The control processing system transfers the user notice to the wireless communication device.

A method for providing a trusted communication link in a wireless network. A mobility management entity (MME) interface of a MME virtualized network function (VNF) receives a trusted communication request. A MME interface trustlet is allocated to execute in a trusted security zone of compute resources provided by a virtual computing environment in which the MME VNF executes. The MME interface trustlet establishes trusted signaling with two or more different VNFs provided by virtual servers executing in the virtual computing environment. The MME interface trustlet sends a trust token to the eNB to establish the trusted communication link from the eNB via a virtualized network function path through the virtual computing environment.

Trusted signaling in 3GPP interfaces in a network function virtualization wireless communication system

A system for improving performance of an interactive augmented reality application over a wireless network. The system comprises at least one client side gateway configured to establish and adjust timing and synchronization with a client application based on measurements and predicted performance of a network between the client application and the client side gateway before a predefined period of time expires, transmit timing and synchronization decision to the controller, execute server side application programming interfaces determined by the controller based on the network quality measurements and the predicted network performance, and transmit execution results of the server side application programming interfaces to the controller.
