An exercise device adapted to simulate the riding of a bicycle comprising a supporting frame, handlebars, a seat, a front wheel and pedal cranks engageable by the trainee to impart rotational movement to the front wheel. The degree of impedance to rotation of the front wheel can readily be adjusted by the trainee during performance of the exercise. The device also includes a unique impedance indicating feature which dynamically indicates to the trainee the degree of resistance against rotation of the front wheel which is being experienced at any given time.

Cycle-type exerciser

Disclosed herein is an illuminated screw driver or hand tool. The hand tool has a hollow handle body within which is disposed at least one light bulb, one power source and a spring for biasing the light bulb and the power source out of contact with one another. Rotation of an end cap switch moves the power source towards contact with the light bulb thereby completing the circuit and lighting the bulb. Alternate embodiments illustrate illuminated screwdrivers having one, two or three such light bulbs and power sources and spring means for biasing each bulb and power source out of contact with one another. In the embodiment having three light bulbs there is provided a mechanism for selectively turning on one, two or all three of the light bulbs.

The present invention pertains to storage units for use in the home, factory, office or the like, and, more particularly, to such storage units constructed of module units which can be assembled together into a variety of forms or shapes, for accommodating room contours or producing an esthetically pleasing appearance.

A lockable zipper closure includes at least one slider with a pulling tab that has an opening therein, and means such as a T-shaped column for locking the zipper in the closed position, that is movable from a position in which the column may pass through the opening to a position in which the column will not pass through the opening, and means for locking the column in the position where the column cannot pass through the opening.

A first preformed case section with front and bottom panels and top, bottom and side flanges is joined by a hinge with a second case section constructed of two unitarily related preformed parts defining a top, back and end panels. A pair of individual latching mechanisms interconnect the end panels of the two case sections to one another. A locking-latch apparatus is provided on the top panel adjacent the handle, e.g., combination or key lock. With the second case section back wall resting on a horizontal support surface, the first case section on opening extends at 90.degree. to the first case section, with the bottom panel stably resting on the same support surface. Platelike retainers are located on the inner lower panel surface adjacent each end and serve to prevent long garments arranged therein from being clamped between the case section edges during closing. Long garments hang from an assembly secured to the inner surface of the front panel and are held close to the inner panel surfaces by a strap secured to both retainers and passing over the garments. Optionally, a rod-like member having an end pivotally connected to one retainer for extending across the long garments is used instead of the strap.

A pair of molded plastic covers are connected along one side by a hinge, and a plurality of cards are removably mounted in an overlapping relationship on the interior surface of each of said covers. The hinge comprises a post secured in a spaced relationship from an edge of each of the covers, and a double barrel member journalled on and hingedly connecting the respective posts. The surfaces on which the cards are mounted are molded with a concave configuration to allow the overlapping cards to lie flat. The cards are mounted on wire hangers which project into spaced grooves on the mounting surface.

A first relatively rigid case section having two end walls with a connecting intermediate wall is interconnected with a flexible second case section via a single zipper with stops defining permanent securement lengths. The first case section also includes a generally C-shaped frame contoured to form the upper wall and extend downwardly a limited amount onto each end wall. Molded plastic supports are affixed to the lower inner end portions of the end walls to provide a firm supportive base for the case. Case sections are otherwise formed of a pliant material, eg, laminated plastic sheets. A cover and strap or bar fold over long garments such as coats or dresses, holding them against the inner wall surfaces of the second case section. A hanger assembly affixed to the inner top wall surface accommodates garment hangers. Optionally, hooklike apparatus connected to the first case section is selectively extendible to the outside of the case to enable toting or hanging of the open case assembly. In yet another aspect, the outer side wall has a shallow pocket for carrying papers or the like which is accessible via a portion of the closure means. As yet another aspect, the zipper pulls each include a loop and slot construction such that when they are positioned immediately adjacent each other, they may be nested together with the slot of either receiving the loop of the other.
