Various aspects described herein relate to a location-based and population-based health metric processes. In one example, a computer-implemented method for generating one or more predicted health metrics for a location includes receiving a request to assess the one or more health metrics associated with the location, and identifying at least one current or future built, social, or natural environment parameter associated with the location. The method may further include calculating one or more predicted health metrics associated with the location based upon at least one of the current or future built, social, or natural environment parameters associated with the location, monetizing the healthcare costs of the predicted health metrics and displaying the one or more predicted health metrics and costs.

A method of archiving a set of source tables in a database system. Each source table has a plurality of rows. Initially, a consistency point for the set of source tables is established. The database system creates a log record for each change (insert, modify, or delete) effected to a row of the source tables subsequent to the consistency point. Substantially all source table rows are copied to an archive (a data storage object that is external to the database system). Then the accumulated log records for the affected source tables are distilled and appended to the archive.

A method of making a color filter array of an imaging device comprises forming a main recess for a color filter array, forming a tension breaking feature at an edge of the main recess, and providing a color filter array material across the tension breaking feature and main recess as part of forming the color filter array. Some embodiments include methods of forming openings in which a metal-containing structure is formed over a region of a semiconductor substrate. A patterned metal-containing material is formed over the metal-containing structure, with the metal-containing material having a gap extending therethrough. An entirety of the metal-containing structure is removed through the gap to leave an opening over the region of the semiconductor substrate. The region of the semiconductor substrate may comprise CMOS sensors, and one or both of filter material and microlens material may be formed within the opening.

A semiconductor structure with dual isolation structures is disclosed. The semiconductor structure may include a protruding isolation structure in a pixel array region of a substrate and an embedded isolation structure in a peripheral device region of the same substrate. A region of the protruding isolation structure extends from an upper surface of the substrate, while another region of the protruding isolation structure may, optionally, be embedded within the substrate. The embedded isolation structure is formed within the substrate and includes an upper surface that is substantially coplanar with the upper surface of the substrate. An end transaction procedure is optimized for certain database operations. Where a transaction preceding the end transaction procedure includes a step that employs all the access modules in the transaction, a flush of the transaction log is performed during execution of the last step of the transaction. The need to flush the transaction log during the subsequent end transaction procedure is obviated. The end transaction procedure further may check to determine whether the transaction log was previously flushed, rather than always flushing the transaction log. Also, where the access modules involved in a transaction are part of the same cluster, certain broadcast operations of the end transaction procedure may be avoided.

A computer program and system for redistributing data in a relational data base management system includes storing one or more rows of a database table in an allocated buffer associated with a program. The program is associated with a transmitting processing module and is capable of managing a redistribution of one or more rows associated with one or more database tables. The method includes comparing the allocated buffer to a portion of the buffer to be occupied by the one or more rows. If the allocated buffer is larger than the portion of the buffer to be occupied by the one or more rows, then the method includes communicating a message to one or more destination processing modules, the message comprising at least some of the one or more rows stored in the allocated buffer. Otherwise, the method includes executing a many-rows method to redistribute the one or more rows.

A photosensitive resin laminate for a sign board is provided, which laminate has a support and a photosensitive resin layer having a thickness of not less than 500 &#x3bc;m formed at least on the support via an adhesive layer, wherein the photosensitive resin layer has an absorbance at 400 nm of not more than 0.4 and the support is a modified polyethylene terephthalate layer on which a UV quality change preventive layer is formed. A sign board obtained using a photosensitive resin laminate of the present invention has a transparent and colorless support having superior design and superior light resistance with a smaller coloring level due to UV. In other words, the photosensitive resin laminate of the present invention can provide a suitable sign board and greatly contributes to the industry.

A water leak detector system with alarm can be used to monitor inaccessible areas under various household appliances and warn of water leaks. A leak detection mat, having base layer of varying and appropriate sizes has disposed on it one or more pairs of electrodes arranged in a pattern around the upper surface of the base mat such that the two wires of each pair are parallel to the other and generally separated at a constant distance, and together the pair is positioned in a pattern across the surface. An absorbent layer is affixed to the base layer, covering and in contact with the electrodes. The absorbent layer may be impregnated with a soluble ionic salt to increase electrical conductivity when the adsorbent layer is wetted. A sensing and transmitting circuit having two input connections is affixed to the base substrate, with one end of each electrode attached to one of the input connections of the sensing and transmitting circuit. A plurality of leak detection mats may be used in a single system, each mat located under a potential water leak source. Upon water falling upon and being adsorbed by the adsorbent layer, the electrical resistance between the two electrodes at points nearest the leak will decrease. This decrease in resistance is detected by the sensing and transmitting circuit, which transmits a signal. An alarm unit receives the signal and activates an audible and/or visual alarm, the signal being sent either by radio waves or by an electrical signal through wires. The alarm unit is capable of monitoring a plurality of leak detection mats.

An anchor (100) for anchoring a structure to the ground includes a cylindrical section (102), an anchor shank (104), and an anchor body (106). The cylindrical section has a driving surface (108) and a hole (112) and is connected to the anchor shank (104) at an attachment point (110). An unrolling device for cylindrical hay bales spikes the bale on its axis and pulls it along the ground to unroll it, when the device is pulled by a pickup truck, tractor, or the like. It comprises a transverse crossbar, two arms hinged at their ends to respective ends of the crossbar, and spikes insertable through the arm ends. The arms may swing out from the bar to a right angle; when both are swung out they lie parallel to one another. The spikes fit through the arm ends to protrude inwardly in the same plane as the plane formed by the crossbar and arms. Thus when set up for use the device has the general shape of a serif capital letter C. In use, the arms are set out on either side of a bale and the spikes are inserted through the arm ends to penetrate the hay bale on its axes. The device is pulled by chains on the crossbar to unroll the bale. When not in use, the device folds into a compact linear shape; the spikes are removed and the arms are folded down. The spikes are stored, lying alongside the arms, in special holders so as to be out of the way.
