A roadway safety system, method, and apparatus are provided for preventing a wrong-way collisions on roadways and exit ramps of roadways by maintaining robotic drones at a drone docking station located along the roadway and/or at or near an exit ramp of the roadway; monitoring the exit ramp to detect a wrong-way vehicle that enters the exit ramp in a wrong direction; transmitting a first communication signal to a safety control system upon detecting the wrong-way vehicle; launching at least a first robotic drone from the one or more robotic drones toward the wrong-way vehicle in response to the first communication signal; and generating an alert or warning message from at least the first robotic drone to notify a driver of the wrong-way vehicle that the wrong-way vehicle is traveling in the wrong direction.

Surgical devices and methods of soft tissue repair using pre-looped tensionable and non-pre-looped tensionable knotless fixation devices. A flexible material (for example, suture or suture tape) may be attached to the fixation device. A flexible material may be threaded through an eyelet of a tip provided as part of a swivel anchor assembly to provide added stability to the fixation devices.

A safety system to prevent a wrong-way vehicle from entering a roadway by driving onto an exit ramp in the wrong direction. A detection system monitors and detects the wrong-way vehicle as soon as it enters the exit ramp in the wrong direction. Upon detecting a wrong-way vehicle, the roadway safety system remotely sends a signal to turn off the motor of the wrong-way vehicle. The system may also record the vehicle's identification and communicate it to a command center to determine the mobile phone number of the owner/driver and call the driver to alert them that they are driving the wrong-way. Alternatively, a series of one or more penetrable and/or impenetrable barriers could be deployed to stop the wrong-way vehicle. The safety system may further include a communications system to communicate to a central office to initiate other alarms and control traffic on the roadway in response to detecting a wrong-way vehicle.

Roadway safety system

Surgical devices and methods of surgical repairs using the devices are disclosed. The device and methods aid in surgical repairs by allowing for quick and reproducible repairs to be made. A tensionable knotless fixation device is provided with a tensioning construct (formed of a tensioning strand, a tensionable, adjustable, knotless, self-cinching loop, and a splice adjacent the loop) pre-loaded onto a fixation device. A flexible material (for example, suture or suture tape) may be attached to a fixation device. A flexible material may be threaded through an eyelet of a fixation device.

Techniques, mixtures, mixing and delivery kits, and improved delivery instruments for implantation of micronized allograft tissue over a microfractured defect. Allograft cartilage tissue is delivered over a cartilage defect that has been debrided and microfractured, without the need for a periosteal covering or separate type of patch sewn over the top. The allograft tissue may be any micronized cartilage particulates obtained by various methods, for example, cartilage delivered in its native form, dehydrated via lyophilization, 'freeze-dried,' dehydrated via desiccation, or dehydrated by any other method.

Implantation of micronized allograft tissue over a microfractured defect

A rotary, cutting medical device configured to be used during surgeries, such as ACL reconstruction, to drill holes and retrograde sockets is disclosed. The device may include a blade at a distal end that is movable between a first position aligned with a longitudinal axis of the device and a second position nonparallel to the longitudinal axis used to create retrograde sockets. The device may include a blade position control system connecting the blade to distal ends of both the outer tube and inner shaft and configured to control movement of the blade between first and second positions for drilling a hole and then creating a retrograde socket. The device may include a position retention system configured to retain the blade in the second position while allowing the inner shaft and blade to rotate to cut the socket.

A treadmill safety control system, method, and apparatus are described for operating an exercise treadmill by enabling a treadmill motor to start moving the treadmill belt after an initial height of the user on the treadmill belt is measured, and then continually measuring a current height of the user on the treadmill belt for evaluation against the initial height so that a first treadmill motor control signal is generated to stop the treadmill motor from moving the treadmill belt when the current height is lower than the initial height by a minimum height threshold.

This disclosure describes a combined autologous biologic and cold therapy treatment for treating various skin injuries. The treatment may include applying autologous blood components, including but not limited to platelet rich plasma, to a skin injury in a manner that influences the healing process. A tray assembly for freezing autologous blood components includes a tray body and a plurality of compartments formed in the tray body. Each of the plurality of compartments is configured to receive an individual dose of an autologous blood component.

A method of synthetic grafting of bone-tendon-bone autograft harvest sites using preformed synthetic trapezoidal implants. The implants are formed of tricalcium phosphate, an osteoconductive bone graft substitute and filler, which allows for simultaneous controlled absorption and promotion of osteogenesis. The implants are preferably pretreated or presoaked intraoperatively in autologous blood, or autologous conditioned plasma, or bone marrow aspirate products to enhance healing ability. The implants are trimmed to match the patellar pole shape, pressed into place in the bone voids, and oversewn to complete the procedure.
