An energy storage system for an electric vehicle includes multiple battery modules, multiple DC-DC power converters, a DC bus configured to supply power to one or more loads, and a vehicle control module configured to obtain a temperature of each of the plurality of DC-DC power converters, assign a first output voltage setpoint to a first one of the plurality of DC-DC power converters having a lowest temperature, and in response to the temperature of the first one of the plurality of DC-DC power converters being greater than or equal to the temperature of another one of the plurality of DC-DC power converters, assign a second output voltage setpoint to a second one of the plurality of DC-DC power converters, and reduce the output voltage setpoint of the first one of the plurality of DC-DC power converters to a value less than the second output voltage setpoint.

A reconfigurable connector system for distributing power between an input power source and a cable harness connector having M cable harness terminals includes an energy center module (ECM) and a connecting adapter. The ECM has a module housing, a PCB having more than M pin holes, a plurality of e-fuses connected with the pin holes, a controller connected with the e-fuses, and an input connector connected to the controller and/or the e-fuses. The connecting adapter has a body with first and second sides and M bridging adapters within the body. Each bridging adapter includes a first connection point accessible from the first side and configured to be directly connectable with a cable harness terminal, one or more second connection points accessible from the second side and configured to be connectable with a pin hole, and a busbar connecting the first connection point with the one or more second connection points.

A vehicle, arc fault protection device of the vehicle and a method for mitigating an arc fault in an electrical system of the vehicle. The arc fault protection device includes a sensor, a switch, and a processor. The sensor is used for measuring a current in an electrical system. The processor is configured to determine a precursor phase of an arc fault from the current, wherein the precursor phase indicates an onset of an arc flash phase of the arc fault. The processor opens the switch to mitigate the arc fault during the arc flash phase.

The first fuse is an electronic fuse (eFuse) to disconnect the load from the power source via the first fuse based on opening a first fuse switch. A controller opens the first fuse switch and keeps the second fuse switch closed based on the vehicle entering a key-off mode in which the vehicle is turned off.

Systems and methods for reallocation of electronic fuses (EFn). The method includes concurrently receiving, for a plurality (N) of EFn, respective sensor data and comparing the sensor data to respective operating ranges. An EFn that exceeds its operating range is turned off. Wherein a preprogrammed configuration of a fuse harness defines multiple (M) clusters, the method identifies, for each EFn that is within the operating range, whether the EFn is a member of a cluster of the M clusters, and other members of the cluster. The method monitors each cluster member's sensor data, with respect to preprogrammed thresholds and load current demands, to thereby categorize each EFn in each cluster as either healthy, derated, or failed. For failed EFns, a target EF in the same cluster having a reallocation potential is identified, and its fuse limits are modified in accordance with the reallocation potential.

Systems and methods for reallocation of electronic fuses configured to drive a fuse harness operationally coupled to multiple loads implemented onboard a vehicle

A pluggable security device for protecting an electronic device, such as a laptop, is disclosed. The pluggable security device has a battery, a siren, and an optional accelerometer. The security device is triggered by unplugging from the electronic device, or by sensing acceleration, or by disconnecting the electronic device from AC power or from a network. Once the security device is triggered and its internal siren is activated, it can only be deactivated by reinserting the pluggable security device into the electronic device it has been disconnected from and by entering a password in the electronic device.

A reciprocating drive system that utilizes energy available from pressure changes in flowing fluid systems, said drive used for the injection of additives into pipelines. The reciprocating drive includes a hydraulic accumulator having a gas chamber connected to a gas pipeline to contain said gas, whereby variation in the elevated pressure of the pipeline is reflected in the pressure applied to an incompressible fluid in a hydraulic conduit. The drive is capable of recycling gas used to drive the system back into pipelines.
