A computer-implemented method and apparatus for automating design, analysis, and product management synchronization in a model-based systems engineering environment. An analysis template is linked to a system architecture representing a product to be manufactured. A set of properties for an architectural element of the system architecture is extracted based on an analysis instance created from the analysis template. The set of properties is converted into a variable input-output structure. An analysis is run using the variable input-output structure to generate results. The results are linked to the analysis instance such that the analysis instance provides a time-based record of the analysis; to the system architecture to update a set of architectural elements impacted by the results; and to a product management tool, thereby synchronizing the design, the analysis, and the product management of the product to improve an efficiency in the design and manufacturing of the product.

Synchronized architecture design and analysis

A system and method for determining an optimum geographic location using a system of systems. A Design of Experiments is conducted for a particular system of systems architecture using a simulation engine based upon a predefined set of inputs, and Response Surface Models (RSMs) are generated based on the results. The RSMs are evaluated to determine candidate points to minimize or maximize the desired response(s). A candidate geographic location point is set, and one or more truth runs are performed for values in a set of defined second level values. The RSMs are updated based on such truth runs. The process of optimizing, performing a truth run and updating is repeated until the optimal value of the selected variable converges toward a global minimum or maximum, or a predetermined threshold number of iterations is exhausted. The optimum geographic location is designated as the final candidate geographic location point.

A method is provided that includes receiving from a camera, video depicting a scene having a center bounded by first and second horizontal edges. The scene also includes an identified object of interest (OI) having a region around the identified OI and a motion vector representing a location, and an amount and at least a horizontal direction of movement. The method also includes calculating from the location of the identified OI, a distance of the identified OI from either or both of the horizontal edges of the scene, and in which the first horizontal edge is in the horizontal direction of movement and the second horizontal edge is opposite the horizontal direction of movement. And the method includes causing an increase or decrease in speed of the camera in the horizontal direction of movement based on location of the identified OI relative to the first/second horizontal edges.

Methods and systems for use in generating read-only production operating systems including at least one application for use with a target workstation are disclosed. One example method includes providing a baseline operating system based on a hardware profile of the target workstation, executing an installation script for a target application, adding at least one resource to the baseline operating system based on an error message indicating at least one resource called by the installation script is not found, and writing, at a computing device, a production operating system to a read-only media. The production operating includes the baseline operating system and the at least one resource.

Methods and systems for generating read-only operating systems

Techniques are provided for capturing data which satisfy data requirements of a particular data capture process. Schema including input requests for the data which satisfy the data requirements of the particular data capture process are specified. The schema can then be transformed into a template which includes the input requests and which conforms to the schema. The template can then be interpreted, and the input requests can be presented to a data provider. Structured data which satisfy the data requirements of the particular data capture process can then be generated based on responses to the input requests.

System, method and computer-program product for structured data capture

Methods and systems are provided for collecting desired information from information that relates to a specific situation within the context of a specific work environment, wherein the information comprises extraneous information and the desired information. A template that relates to the specific situation can be opened and interpreted at a computing device to generate queries presented to a user for extracting the desired information from the information. A user can input responses to the queries, and a completed template can be generated based on the responses. The completed template includes the desired information. The completed template can be submitted to an information management system.
