The techniques described herein may provide for more efficient power management of equipment based on weather conditions. For instance, weather measurements (e.g., or weather forecasts based on weather measurements) may be used to determine whether or not to initiate a power disconnect procedure. When some weather condition (e.g., wind, temperature, rain, humidity, etc.) exceeds a threshold, a power disconnect procedure may be initiated such that a power source of certain equipment may be disconnected from a power distribution system. In some examples, an environmental monitor may send environmental measurements or conditions to a programmable processor. In instances where the programmable processor determines that some environmental threshold or condition has been met, the programmable processor may send a disconnect signal (e.g., a disconnect power signal) to a power disconnect device. The power disconnect device may thus disconnect the power distribution system from the power source.

Equipment control based on environmental monitoring system

This disclosure provides systems and methods for processing packets. A system can include first computing device, a second computing device, and a first packet forwarding device. Each of the first computing device and the second computing device can be communicatively coupled to a respective port of the first packet forwarding device. Each port of the first packet forwarding device can be assigned a unique MAC address. For a first packet received from the first computing device, the first packet forwarding device can be configured to determine that a destination MAC address of the first packet matches the MAC address assigned to the port on which the first packet was received, and to forward the first packet to the second computing device, responsive to the determination. For a second packet received from the second computing device, the first packet forwarding device can be configured to forward the second packet via the port whose MAC address matches a source MAC address of the second packet.

Systems and methods for processing packets in a computer network

The methods and systems described herein provide a mechanism to externalize network functions through a direct link between a network switch and an external packet processor. The network switch is configured to receive a packet directed to a destination node via a first network interface. The network switch is also configured to forward the received packet to a packet processor, via a second network interface, over a direct physical link between the network switch and the packet processor. The packet is forwarded with an identifier for a virtualized network function executing on the packet processor and a destination MAC address of the packet is different from a MAC address of the packet processor.

Systems and methods for externalizing network functions via packet trunking

This disclosure pertains to a signalling device which is magnetically temporarily secured to an exterior surface of a motor vehicle. When in use, two end elements are disposed in parallel spaced apart relationship by a plurality of interconnected linkage arms forming a series of parallelograms. When expanded, the apparatus forms a display area having a substantially rectangular shape bounded on two sides by the end elements. The display surfaces of the end elements and the linkage arms are adapted with a reflective material permitting the operator of an oncoming vehicle to readily discern the presence of a disabled vehicle. The linkage arms are collapsible, thereby permitting easy storage within the motor vehicle when not in use. Carrying and size adjusting handles and a locking mechanism for locking the device in a collapsed position are provided.
