A load support system includes an elongate support member having a first diameter and first and second ends. The elongate support member includes, toward the first end, a first portion for direct earth burial and further includes, toward the second end, a second portion to which the load can be coupled. The system additionally includes a lateral support having a second diameter greater than the first diameter and a second length less than a first length of the first portion. The lateral support is mounted about the first portion of the elongate support member. The lateral support includes a first opening formed therein at a first location relative to a long axis of the elongate support member and a second opening formed therein at a different second location relative to the long axis in order to support a range of embedment depths.

Free-standing load support system

A load support system includes an elongate support member that includes, toward a first end, a first portion for direct earth burial and further includes, toward a second end, a second portion to which the load can be coupled. A lateral support, mounted about the first portion has a diameter greater than the elongate support member and a length less than the first portion. At least one first helix is formed about the first portion. The load support system may have a load positioning system including a housing that supports attachment of the load. The housing is sized to receive therein a second helix formed about the second portion and includes a follower assembly configured to contact the second helix to impart rotation as the housing is raised and lowered. The load positioning system further includes an actuator configured to telescopically raise and lower the housing.

An indication to validate operation of a network-attached storage gateway is received. The network-attached storage gateway communicatively couples a client and an object store. a virtual namespace is generated based, at least in part, on a network-based file system implemented by the network-attached storage gateway. A first file system entity is selected from the virtual namespace. A first identifier of the first object in the object store is determined. The first object corresponds to the first file system entity. The first object is retrieved from the object store based, at least in part, on the first identifier. The first object is retrieved by bypassing the network-attached storage gateway. It is determined whether the first object matches the first file system entity.

Network-attached storage gateway validation

Examples described herein provide for determining when individual file system operations are quiesced at a destination before validating a state of the file system object after migration. In one implementation, a metadata parameter is modified for individual file system objects after a set of mutable operations for each file system object is completed. The metadata parameter is recorded and subsequently used to determine when each of the individual file system objects are quiesced at the destination filer. The file system objects that are quiesced can be validated for migration and for implementation of any mutable file system operations that were completed at the source during the migration.

System and method for validating replication of mutable operations performed on a file system object during a migration

A method for testing a voice gateway includes the operation of transmitting a first series of network packets containing test data from test equipment to a network interface of the voice gateway. After the test data has been converted by the voice gateway from a network format to a telephony format and then converted back to a network format, the test equipment receives a second series of network packets containing the test data. The test equipment then analyzes the test data in the second series of network packets to determine performance characteristics of the voice gateway. The operation of analyzing the test data may include the operation of identifying bytes from the test data with byte values that represent idle insertion by a telephony interface and/or the operations of determining elapsed time between transmission and reception of the test data by the test equipment.
