A lighting management system includes communications circuitry, processing circuitry, and a memory. The memory stores instructions, which, when executed by the processing circuitry cause the lighting management system to receive a message from a lighting fixture via the communications circuitry, the message indicating a proximal presence of a detected mobile device to the lighting fixture, and performing one or more actions in response to receipt of the message. By performing the one or more actions upon receipt of the message as described above, a lighting system may be provided with additional functionality that enhances the lighting system.

Lighting fixture providing variable CCT

A lighting fixture includes a light source, a housing coupled to the light source, communications circuitry, and control circuitry. The housing includes an opening through which light from the light source is provided. The control circuitry includes a memory storing instructions, which, when executed by the control circuitry cause the lighting fixture to adjust one or more light output parameters of the light source, and store fixture location information describing a location of the lighting fixture in response to receipt of the fixture location information from the communications circuitry. By storing fixture location information describing the location of the lighting fixture, the location of the lighting fixture may be used to send messages to lighting fixtures in the same location and/or retrieve data from lighting fixtures in the same location, which may be beneficial in many circumstances.

Lighting fixture sensor network

A lighting apparatus includes at least one light emitting diode (LED) and a passive resonant converter circuit having an output coupled to the at least one LED and an input configured to be coupled to a ballast that produces an AC output. The passive resonant converter circuit may include a combination of a passive rectifier circuit, such as a passive diode bridge, and a resonant circuit, such as a CL resonant circuit. An input of the passive rectifier circuit may be configured to be coupled to the ballast and the resonant circuit and the at least one LED may be coupled to an output of the passive rectifier circuit. At least a portion of the passive resonant converter may be packaged with the at least one LED in a lamp and all or a portion of the passive resonant converter circuit may be packaged as a module or other unit for use with a lamp.

LED lighting apparatus for use with AC-output lighting ballasts

Emergency lighting devices and methods are disclosed. An emergency lighting device includes a first group of solid state emitters configured to emit light of a first color. The emergency lighting device also includes a second group connected in series to the first group and configured to emit a second color. The groups are configured to receive a normal operation current from an LED driver at the input end of the first group and output the normal operation current at the output end of the second group. In an emergency, the first group receives an emergency operation current from an emergency LED driver at an emergency input and outputs the emergency operation current at an emergency output located.

Emergency lighting devices with LED strings

An emergency lighting module for providing emergency power to a solid state luminaire. The emergency lighting module includes a first input configured to receive a DC input voltage from the solid state luminaire, a second input configured to receive a status signal indicative of the status of an AC line voltage, and a first output configured to supply a DC output voltage to the solid state luminaire. The emergency lighting module is configured to supply the DC output voltage to the solid state luminaire in response to a reduction of the AC line voltage.

The housing includes an opening through which light from the light source is provided. The control circuitry includes a memory storing instructions, which, when executed by the control circuitry cause the lighting fixture to transmit sensor data obtained from the sensor circuitry via the communications circuitry for persistent storage of the sensor data. By transmitting sensor data from the lighting fixture for persistent storage thereof, the sensor data may be used to characterize a space in which the lighting fixture is located.

Digitally controlled driver for lighting fixture

Methods and systems for emergency lighting are disclosed. Embodiments of the invention provide a solid-state lighting system, light fixture or a collection of light fixtures, with a control input that is used to cause the system to dim to a specific level during an outage in order to conserve power in a building where power is backed up by an emergency inverter or a back-up generator. With embodiments of the invention, there is no need to run a separate power feed, as might otherwise be required for keeping distributed batteries charged or for running specified emergency-only fixtures from back-up power. In some embodiments the solid-state lighting system includes an occupancy sensor wherein the specified light output level is determined at least in part based on the occupancy of a room. In some embodiments, the system can be selectively configured for the specified output level.

Methods and systems for emergency lighting

An emergency lighting module for providing emergency power to a solid state luminaire includes a microcontroller, and a detector coupled to the microcontroller and configured to detect a status signal indicative of a status of an AC line voltage, the emergency lighting module is configured to output a dimming control signal to the solid state luminaire in response to a reduction of the AC line voltage. The microcontroller is further configured to output a select signal to the solid state luminaire to cause the solid state luminaire to dim in accordance with the dimming control signal when the dimming control signal is output.

Dimming control for emergency lighting systems

A wall controller that is used for controlling CCT is disclosed. A user input interface allows a user to provide a CCT parameter by pressing a button, entering a value, or the like. The user output interface can provide the user with an indication of a CCT level, which may represent an actual or current CCT level, a maximum or minimum CCT level setting, or the like for an associated lighting fixture. The communication interface facilitates communications with the associated lighting fixture. The control circuitry is configured to receive user input via the user interface; send a signal based on the user input toward the lighting fixture via the communication interface; and control the user output interface to provide the indication of the CCT level. The signal based on the user input may be indicative of an increase or decrease in CCT level, a specific CCT level, or the like.

A power supply includes a power conversion circuit configured to selectively operate in one of an active mode in which output power is supplied to a load and a standby mode in which output power is not supplied to the load, a plurality of auxiliary circuits including a first auxiliary circuit and a second auxiliary circuit, a bias node configured to supply power to the plurality of auxiliary circuits, and a switch that is coupled between the bias node and the first auxiliary circuit and that is configured to disconnect the first auxiliary circuit from the bias node in response to a control signal.

An apparatus for interfacing a ballast to at least one light emitting diode (LED) includes a passive rectifier circuit and matching circuit coupled to an input port and/or an output port of the passive rectifier circuit and configured to at least partially match an impedance of the ballast.
