A mounting bracket for a mirror motor includes a plurality of elongate snapping fingers which are disposed at circumferentially spaced locations around an axis extending through the bracket. The elongate snapping fingers are designed such that a mirror motor can be releasably affixed to the mounting bracket. In one feature, the snapping fingers have a ratio of height to width of at least about 1.5:1. In another feature, the snapping fingers include a head portion having a top face and a bottom face. The top face slopes downwardly at a first angle and the bottom face slopes upwardly at an angle of at least about 10.degree.. The first angle is greater than the second angle. In another feature, the mounting bracket includes at least one alignment structure mounted intermediate a pair of snapping fingers and having spaced tabs with downwardly sloping facing edges. The alignment structure helps position and hold the motor on the mounting bracket. The snapping fingers engage a lip of the mirror motor.

A rear dumping brush-type lawn sweeper for attachment to a garden tractor includes a hamper assembly which is mounted on a support frame for pivotal movement. The support frame is carried on the main frame of the brush housing. The hamper assembly carries an open top hamper bag. The top of the bag is normally closed by a mesh-type folding wind apron. A forward portion of the apron is attached to the hamper assembly, while a rear portion of the apron is attached to a rear cross member forming part of the hamper support frame. The wind apron, at its rear terminal end, forms a closure with the rear lip of the hamper bag in the normal running position. When the hamper is rotated rearwardly on the support frame for dumping, the wind screen folds on itself and exposes a rear dumping opening with the rear hamper bag lip.

A drop type spreader for handling fertilizer, grass seed or the like for lawns and residential use has a flow control hand grip lever positioned at the spreader handles. The lever is gripped together with one of the handles for initiating flow, and the flow control gate and the lever automatically return to cut off the flow when the lever is released. A tension spring is connected between the hopper and the flow control gate for returning the gate to the flow blocking position when the lever is released. The rate of flow is also controlled from the lever by an adjusting screw, and an indicator is provided at the lever for indicating the selected rate of flow.
