A structural wall for a building is provided and includes a frame having opposing sides and a height and at least one structural panel secured to one of the sides of the frame, wherein a length of the at least one structural panel is greater than the height of the frame. An upper track is positioned over an upper end of the frame and an upper end of the at least one structural panel on each of the sides of the frame and a lower track is positioned over a lower end of the frame and a lower end of the at least one structural panel on each of the sides of the frame.

Methods for manufacturing exterior sheathing cementitious panels with a highly efficient integrated air/water barrier sheet are also provided. An exterior sheathing system employing the exterior sheathing cementitious panel is provided.

An attachment system is provided for attaching furring strips to joists, each such joist having a bottom surface, an upper surface and a sidewall. The attachment system for each furring strip including a fastener having a shaft and a head, the fastener secured to the sidewall of the joist in a position vertically displaced from the bottom surface. At least one length of wire is provided with a mid-portion and two free ends, the mid-portion being looped around the fastener. The free ends are wrapped around the furring strip and fastened to each other to securely hold the furring strip to the floor joist.

A panel for a shaftwall system includes a panel body with a core and at least one outer facing layer and an opposite backing surface. A score line is formed in the facing layer, defining two folded panel portions. The panel is folded along the score line to form a folded edge, and the folded panel portions are arranged so that the backing surfaces of the panel portions contact each other. A companion shaftwall building structure system is provided, including a plurality of the panels defining an enclosure, each panel being a &#xbd;-inch thick wallboard panel having a 'V'-shaped score line defining a pair of panel portions, the score line forms a tapered edge of the folded panel. A plurality of brackets is provided, each bracket defining a panel track dimensioned for slidingly accommodating the folded panel and retaining the panel in place without the use of fasteners.

A floor-ceiling assembly is provided for joined upper and lower modular construction units, including a floor surface of the upper unit using structural cement panels; a floor grid including at least one floor joist and at least one beam each having an upper surface receiving said structural cement panels, a web and a lower surface. At least one connector plate is secured to the lower surface. A ceiling framework of the lower unit has at least one ceiling beam and at least one ceiling joist secured to each other, at least one of the beams is secured to the at least one connector plate. A resilient channel is secured to an underside of the ceiling framework, and a ceiling panel is secured to the resilient channel.

Two-hour fire-rated modular floor/ceiling assembly

A nozzle is provided configured for applying sealant to a construction panel joint. The nozzle includes a nozzle body having a first, supply end, and a second, outlet end opposite the supply end, the body defining an internal passageway. Also included on the nozzle is at least one tooling formation located at the outlet end and constructed and arranged for tooling a bead of sealant dispensed out the passageway from the outlet end.

A heating system which may include a bonding membrane having a water permeable lamina, an electrically conductive ink-based radiant heater, and a first adhesive adapted to adhere to both the conductive ink-based radiant heater and the bonding membrane. The heating system may be incorporated in a floor including a substrate, the heating system and a decorative floor surface. The heating system may also be in the form of a multilayer panel having a bonding membrane, an electrically conductive ink-based heater including a plurality of electrically resistive strips printed on a first polymer sheet connected by electrically conductive buses, and electrical conductors extending from the buses to at least an edge of the panel.

A fire resistive assembly including metal framing members, for example, C-joists, U-joists, open web joists, HAMBRO or other metal frame systems that support a reinforced, lightweight, dimensionally stable SCP panel. The assembly is non-combustible, water durable, mold and rot resistant, termite resistant and is capable of resisting shear loads equal to or exceeding shear loads provided by plywood or oriented strand board panels. The panels employ one or more layers of a continuous phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture of inorganic binder, for example, calcium sulfate alpha hemihydrate, hydraulic cement, an active pozzolan and lime. The continuous phase is reinforced with glass fibers and contains lightweight filler particles, for example, ceramic microspheres.

A vertical shear wall system including vertical metal framing members, for example, C-joists, U-joists, open web joists, or other metal frame systems that support a reinforced, lightweight, dimensionally stable SCP panel.
