A dispensing device and method is provided for separating individual food or drink container lids from a multiple-lid stack for use. The device supports a vertical stack of nested lids and allows a single bottom-most lid to fall away from the remaining lids in the stack. The device may be incorporated in a stand-alone dispenser for consumer use or be incorporated into existing or other incidental structures such as fast food restaurant countertops.

A retractable dust control hood for a rotary table saw includes a generally hollow box member which is supported for movement between a working position directly over the saw blade and a retracted position substantially above the saw blade to permit ease of handling workpieces with respect to the saw and a saw support table surface. The hood is supported from a member disposed above the table surface by parallelogram linkage and a counterbalance mechanism including a rod extending between one set of parallelogram link members and a second set of parallelogram link members. A coil spring is disposed around the rod and acts to move the parallelogram link members relative to each other to counterbalance the weight of the hood. The hood includes a transparent window and a lamp for illuminating the interior space of the hood for ease of viewing the workpiece during operation of the saw. The bottom edge of the hood is provided with rub rails which minimize disfigurement of the workpiece when engaged by the hood and moving relative thereto.

Retractable dust control hood and guard for rotary table saw

A cable reeling apparatus particularly useful for reeling and dereeling cable for seismic signal recording operations includes a lightweight frame on which a propulsion unit and drive shaft for a cable spool are supported. The cable spool is permanently mounted on the shaft and includes a removable side flange so that coils of cable may be mounted on and demounted from the spool. The spool hub and flanges are provided with cooperating grooves for receiving flexible strapping wherein the coil of cable may be bound at circumferentially spaced points before removal from the spool and field operations may be carried out without dedicated spools for each cable coil.
