A tubular member useful as an inner liner for the working channel of a flexible endoscope has a distal portion which is specially treated to make it highly flexible and resistant to kinking or collapsing when it bends with the flexible section of the endoscope. The tubular member is also useful as a catheter device or as a component of a catheter device or catheter system. A helically wound wire is drawn into the wall of the tubing to prevent kinking or buckling of the wall or collapsing of the inner lumen. External ridges may be formed by convolutions of the tubing wall or by external threads that are formed on the exterior of the tubing wall within the flexible distal portion. An outer helical reinforcing coil may be added between the external ridges to further reinforce the flexible distal portion of the tubular member from kinking or collapsing. The flexible distal portion of the tubular member may be coated with a layer of a flexible polymer to fill in the spaces between the external ridges and to cover the helical reinforcing coil. Manufacturing methods for the tubular member are also disclosed.

Flexible inner liner for the working channel of an endoscope

The formulation primes materials used in the processing of substrates. The formulation comprises one or more filming amines which are mixed with and neutralized by an appropriate acid or combination of acids. Water is used as the solvent and a surfactant is optionally added to aid in the cleaning, anti-foaming and wetting of the substrates. Printed circuit boards, chemically milled alloys and chemically plated alloys can be coated with the formulation as a one-step priming method prior to lamination of a resist layer.

An anchor in which an L-shaped shank has a single fluke pivotally secured to the shorter leg of the L. The L-shaped shank lies substantially in a plane. The fluke pivots through the plane but not in the plane. The fluke has a single triangular, planar fluke member which may be disposed in the plane. The longer leg of the shank is arcuate and the anchor cable is attached thereto.

Single-fluke anchor

A non-fouling fluked anchor having a yoke-like shank in which the yoke arms are arcuate and pivotally attached to a pointed, center mounted fluke such that the arcuate arms of the shank provide for variable positioning of the fluke point to insure initial penetration of the fluke point in sea floor bottoms having different degrees of hardness. The fluke tip, the yoke frame, and the anchor line tether establish a three point contact with the sea bottom. The arcuate yoke shank arms allow a variable initial penetration angle of the fluke from 15 degrees to approximately 67 degrees. As a relatively harder sea bottom is encountered the anchor, due to the action of the arcuate yoke will pivot to provide a steeper fluke angle to insure penetration. Once the fluke has penetrated the bottom the anchor will then assume the secured position at the conventional holding angle.

Non-fouling anchor

Apparatus for displaying pressure in digital form including a plurality of pressure-sensitive transducers arranged in a vertical linear array within a liquid container, from a most sensitive position to a least sensitive position. Electronic matrix means responsive to actuation of the transducers provide an output signal indicative of the least sensitively positioned transducer that has been actuated. A digital display device is coupled to the output of the electronic matrix means and is responsive to the output signal, for displaying in digital form the pressure in the container.
