A protective device includes a pipe in a pipe system for transmission of a flow of a fluid from an upstream end of the pipe system to a downstream end of the pipe system. The device includes a pipe insert, disposed within the pipe system between the upstream and downstream ends. The pipe insert has a cylindrical body. A valve is within the pipe insert and is moveable between open and closed positions. The open position opens the pipe insert, enabling transmission of the flow of the fluid, and the closed position occludes the pipe insert, disabling transmission of the flow of the fluid. A sensor is within the pipe insert for disposition within the flow of the fluid to detect a target compound in the pipe insert. The valve moves from the open position to the closed position when the sensor detects the target compound.

Fluid and target compound transmission protective device

Apparatuses and methods supporting uplink transmissions are disclosed. A method includes receiving signaling including information indicating a primary cell and at least one non-primary cell, receiving a message with scheduling information indicating an allocation of uplink resources and a HARQ process ID, and transmitting to at least the one non-primary cell an uplink transmission using a HARQ process indicated by the HARQ process ID and the allocation of uplink resources. Another method includes transmitting signaling including information indicating a primary cell and at least one non-primary cell, transmitting a message with scheduling information indicating an allocation of uplink resources and a HARQ process ID to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), and receiving an uplink transmission using a HARQ process indicated by the HARQ process ID and the allocation of uplink resources on at least the one non-primary cell.

Supporting uplink transmissions

A method and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a wireless transceiver and a processor. The apparatus performs wireless communications with a primary cell, receives a message via a shared channel of the primary cell, wherein the received message includes information identifying a plurality of non-primary cells, monitors downlink channels of the identified plurality of non-primary cells based on the received message, and receives data over a downlink channel of at least one of the identified plurality of non-primary cells based on the monitored downlink channels.

A method and base station are disclosed. The base station comprises a wireless transceiver and a processor. A method and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are disclosed. The WTRU includes a receiver and a transmitter. A method and a base station are disclosed. The base station includes a receiver and a transmitter. A method and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a wireless transceiver and a processor. The apparatus transmits a data packet via a primary cell and a non-primary cell, the primary cell and the non-primary cell, wherein the data packet is sent via the primary cell and the non-primary cell over an enhanced uplink (EU) channel. On a condition that the transmitted data packet is not successfully decoded by the primary cell and also not successfully decoded by the non-primary cell, the apparatus receives a negative acknowledgement (NACK) signal from the primary cell and not receiving the NACK signal from the non-primary cell and retransmits the data packet in response to receiving the NACK signal from the primary cell even though the NACK signal was not received from the non-primary cell.

A method and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) supporting uplink transmissions. The method being used in a WTRU and comprising transmitting a data block to a base station using a hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) process, receiving uplink scheduling information from the base station, wherein the uplink scheduling information includes a H-ARQ process identification for the H-ARQ process, and determining whether to retransmit the data block based on the received uplink scheduling information and not based on whether the WTRU has received a negative acknowledgement (NACK) from the base station. An enhanced uplink user equipment is in soft handover. A radio network controller selects a primary Node-B out of a plurality of Node-Bs supporting the soft handover. The radio network controller receiving successfully received enhanced uplink data packets from the plurality of Node-Bs. The radio network controller reordered the successfully received enhanced uplink data packets for in-sequence deliver. The primary Node-B sends specified scheduling information to the user equipment that the other Node-Bs does not transmit. At least the primary Node-B transmits acknowledgements and negative acknowledgements to the user equipment.

A method and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) supporting uplink transmissions. The method being used in a WTRU and comprising transmitting a data block to a base station using a H-ARQ process, receiving uplink scheduling information from the base station, wherein the uplink scheduling information includes a H-ARQ process identification of the H-ARQ process, and determining whether to retransmit the data block based on the H-ARQ process identification. A method, wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), and a wireless network node configured for wireless communications comprising receiving, by the WTRU, configuration information for a primary cell and one or more non-primary cells, receiving, by the WTRU, a message on the primary cell, the received message including indication of at least one of the one or more non-primary cells from which the WTRU is to receive a downlink shared channel transmission, and in response to the received message, receiving and processing, by the WTRU, the downlink shared channel transmission from the indicated at least one of the one or more non-primary cells.
