In some examples, a first computer sends to a remote computer in a first data flow over a network, data of a peripheral device attached to the first computer, for receipt by a device driver of the remote computer. The first computer receives, from the remote computer in a second data flow over the network, data of a resource in the remote computer, the data of the resource related to remote access of the resource of the second computer by the first computer resource over the network. The first computer throttles the first data flow to provide the second data flow with a greater portion of a bandwidth of the network, the throttling according to different priorities assigned to corresponding plural data flows, the plural flows including the first data flow and the second data flow.

Communicating data in flows between first and second computers over a network

A network arrangement includes a first computer connected over a network to a second computer. Data over plural flows is communicated over the network between the first computer and second computer, where the second computer has a resource remotely accessible by the first computer over the data network, and where the second computer has a device driver to receive user input at a user input device attached to the first computer. According to different priorities assigned to the corresponding plural flows, at least a first one of the plural flows of data is caused to be throttled such that at least a second one of the plural flows is provided a greater portion of a bandwidth of the network, where the second flow is used for communication of data related to remote access of the resource of the second computer by the first computer.

Communicating data in flows between first and second computers connected over a network

A network arrangemen includes a receiving computer connected over a network to plural sending computers. A first session is established between the receiving computer and a first of the plural sending computers, where the first session involves providing data of a peripheral device attached to the receiving computer to the first sending computer, and where the data of the peripheral device is provided to a first device driver of the peripheral device in the first sending computer. A second session is established between the receiving computer and a second of the plural sending computers, where the second session involves providing the data of the peripheral device attached to the receiving computer to the second sending computer, and where the data of the peripheral device is provided to a second device driver of the peripheral device in the second sending computer.

Selectively communicating data of a peripheral device to plural sending computers

A system and method are provided for supporting remote isochronous devices effectively. In one embodiment, first and second computer hosts include first and second virtual interposer logic, first and second send/receive logic and first and second at least partial device driver stacks therein. The first and second send/receive logics are configured to communicate packets between one another, representing commands and data passing between a user-level application at the first host and a peripheral device at the second host. The first and second virtual interposer logics are configured to interface the first and second send/receive logics to the first and second at least partial device driver-stacks within their respective hosts. To achieve low-latency transactions, the system includes speculative write completion functionality and/or speculative read functionality.

System and method for supporting a remote isochronous device

Disclosed are systems and methods of dynamic remote peripheral binding. In one embodiment, such a system includes a local system () configured to bind a smart card reader () to the local system (). The smart card reader () is configured to extract data from a smart card (). The system includes a local authentication engine () that prompts the user for user authentication information associated with the smart card (). The local authentication engine () authenticates that the user is associated with the smart card (), is authorized to access the user credentials and extracts them from the smart card (). A remote access client () module establishes a remote session () from the local system () to a remote system (). The local system () unbinds the smart card reader () from the local system () and binds the smart card reader () to the remote system ().

Dynamic remote peripheral binding

A method comprises determining whether settings associated with a plurality of devices coupled to a client computer are provided in the client computer. The client computer is adapted to be coupled to a plurality of remote computer. If the settings are provided in the client computer, the method further comprises determining to which of the remote computers each device is to be associated, and operatively associating each device to the particular remote computer to which that device is determined to be associated. As a result, multiple devices can be concurrently associated with remote computers.
