A multi-ply elastomeric belt is produced by tensioning fabric over a lower mold section, elastomeric enveloping said fabric under pressure to form a so called 'pulley ply' section, inverting said ply, tensioning at least one fabric member over said ply and elastomerizing the fabric to form at least a belt section, a continuous belt can be made.

Method of molding multi-ply reinforced panels and/or belts

A tire is cast and cured in a stationary mold having an annular mold cavity, an inlet opening and an outlet vent. The mold is tilted for optimum foam flow and minimum air or bubble entrapment. A liquid reactive mixture is injected into the mold through the inlet opening and moves through the mold cavity in different directions providing two leading surfaces which meet to form an interface adjacent the outlet vent. The air, foam gases and interface portion are extruded from the mold cavity through a slot in the vent into a reservoir. After curing of the elastomeric material formed by the liquid reactive mixture in the mold, the material in the slot and reservoir may be severed from the tire.

Method and apparatus for molding a tire

A torus shaped article can be molded using a liquid injection molding composition by placing a torus shaped mold at an angle of 1.degree. to 45.degree. with the horizontal, charging the mold at a port having a higher elevation and immediately rotating the mold to position the vent port at a point higher than the charging port.

A mixture of low and high molecular weight polyether polyols are stabilized by including in the mixture one to 10 percent by weight of a grafted polypropylene ether polyol of 2-4 hydroxyls having a molecular weight of 1500 to 3500 where the graft monomer is acrylonitrile or acrylonitrile styrene.
