A handle attachable to a cored-out pineapple is disclosed herein, resulting in a unique drinking vessel, particularly, as preparation of a tropical style drink. The solution provides for secure affixation as well as easy attachment and removal. Additionally, an efficient method for attaching a handle to a pineapple or other hollowed out fruit is also introduced herein.

Pineapple drinking vessel and related methods

A system for providing upkeep and maintenance to piping including in improved pipe freezing apparatus. In a specific embodiment, the system is quite useful to replace worn valves that may require digging underground to expose enough of the pipe system. Novel tools for removing the valve are additionally provided by the present invention. The preferred embodiment further improves upon job safety when using CO(dry ice) evaporating and venting the chamber as a gas displacing oxygen. The novel design of the pipe freezing apparatus described herein can be installed by hand without tools. Said design further obviates a need for a specifically designed vent for the pipe freezing apparatus.

System and method for providing upkeep and maintenance to piping systems

The invention herein describes a light weight, one-piece top for a sports vehicle such as a Jeep-type vehicle having roll bars which surround the passenger compartment. The top is formed from a polymeric material and includes arcuate side sections which engage the roll bars to hold the top in place. A depending front flange engages the vehicle body proximate the windshield to prevent the top from lifting while driving.

Printed circuits which reside on three dimensional surfaces are disclosed. Using a first technique, a three dimensional surface is formed on a substrate having a high melting point or permitting a high degree of infrared energy transmittance. The surface contains a layer of metalization maintained at a depth of less than two microns. An infrared laser then moves around the surface and selectively vaporizes metalization leaving a desired printed circuit pattern. The remaining metalization is plated to a useable depth. Using a second technique, a fiber optic bundle is machined on one end to mate with the three dimensional surface. The three dimensional surface, metalized and coated with photo resist, resides in intimate contact with this first end. A second end of the cable is flat and resides in intimate contact with two dimensional master photo artwork. A pattern is exposed on the photoresist through the fiber optic bundle, and the metalization is etched using conventional techniques.

Three dimensional printed circuits

A resistive element is formed on a printed circuit board using only printed circuit board fabrication techniques. A substrate having a bi-metallic cladding on one side of the substrate and a conductive metallic cladding on an opposing side of the substrate is used. A predetermined trace pattern is formed in the metallic cladding. Resistive elements are formed in the bi-metallic cladding opposing their desired locations in the trace pattern. The bi-metallic cladding consists of a resistive layer between the substrate and a second conductive layer. Tabs are etched in the second conductive layer, then resistors, which couple various tabs together, are etched in the resistive layer. Plated holes connect the tabs to desired locations in the trace pattern located on the opposing side of the substrate.

Method of forming and connecting a resistive layer on a pc board

A resistive element is formed on a printed circuit board using only printed circuit board fabrication techniques. Two printed circuit board strata are laminated together into a multi-layer printed circuit board. A desired trace pattern is etched into a first layer of a first stratum that has first and second conductive metallic layers clad to opposing sides of a first dielectric substrate. A bi-metallic clad substrate having a resistive layer clad to a first side of a second dielectric substrate, a third conductive layer clad to the resistive layer, and a fourth conductive layer clad to a second side of the second dielectric substrate represents the second stratum. The third conductive layer is etched to leave only pads. The resistive layer is etched to form resistive elements of desired resistivity between the pads. When the two strata are laminated together, the pads couple to the trace pattern at desired locations.

The present invention consists of a ground plane comprising a conductive foil placed between a printed wire board and a chassis. The foil is deformed to provide a plurality of raised areas such that if buckling of the printed wire board occurs, the deformed areas will continue to maintain contact between the printed wire board and the chassis.

Apparatus for forming a yarn package wherein the yarn package includes a plurality of axially stacked revolutions of yarn with each revolution formed to include a plurality of sinuous shaped wave patterns in each revolution, and wherein the sinuous pattern of adjacent revolutions are angularly offset relative to each other to form a yarn package having high porosity in the package to permit the ready flow of yarn treatment material therethrough. The yarn package forming apparatus includes a frame support means having a power driven turntable, with a pressure plate non-rotatably supported thereabove for vertical translating movement, and wherein the yarn package is formed between the rotatable turntable and the pressure plate. The yarn packaging apparatus is provided with a variable speed radially reciprocating yarn guide means for feeding the yarn through a radial slot in the pressure plate to the turntable for forming revolutions of yarn having the sinuous pattern, with each revolution having an adjusted length of yarn. The variable speed radially reciprocating means is provided with a programable speed adjustment mechanism which is operated at a number of independent speeds for a series of revolutions, with the sequence of rotational speed being repeated after a predetermined number of revolutions of the turntable. A yarn package is formed by threading a length of yarn through the yarn guide means and slot, engaging an end of the yarn with the rotary turntable and effecting rotation of the turntable to form the stacked revolutions of yarn which will in turn force the pressure plate upward as the yarn package is formed. An open mesh yarn bag is supported on the turntable with the bag being constructed of net material which will permit ready impregnation of a dye throughout the yarn package.

Apparatus for forming a yarn package

A continuous dyeing process for use in dyeing material, such as carpet, a selected one of a number of colors. The process is performed by providing at least two dye applicator means, advancing a length of material to be dyed along a predetermined path adjacent the applicator means, operating one of the applicator means a predetermined period of time to apply one color dye to the length of material moving along the predetermined path, fixing the first color dye to the length of material, operating the other one of the dye applicator means for a predetermined period of time to apply a second color dye to a length of material moving along the predetermined path, and fixing the second color dye to the length of material. The dye is applied in a foam mixture having predetermined amounts of dye material, predetermined amounts of a thickening material, predetermined amounts of water and predetermined amounts of air processed in a mixing apparatus to develop a foam mixture. The foam mixture containing dye is applied only to one surface of material moving along a predetermined path by either extruding the foam material onto the length of material being dyed, creating a puddle of the foam material on the length of material and doctoring the foam material to a predetermined height, or by introducing the foam dye material into a container applicator means having an edge operable for doctoring the foam material to a predetermined height.
