The dual probe assembly is used with a printed circuit board test apparatus. It includes a first, satellite test probe holder for a first, satellite test probe and a motor for rotating the first test probe holder. It further includes a second, main test probe holder for a second, main test probe and a motor for moving the second test probe holder. The first test probe holder can move without affecting the position of the second test probe, while the second test probe holder is connected to the first test probe holder in such a manner that movement of the second test probe holder moves the first test probe holder, wherein both a selected distance between the two test probes and a selected angular orientation therebetween can be achieved.

Dual probe assembly for a printed circuit board test apparatus

A hand-drop motor assembly for use in an encoding apparatus is positioned in the vicinity of a hand-drop region of the encoder check guide path. It includes a motor which has a motor shaft extending out the top end thereof. Mounted to the shaft is a roller. Rotatably mounted to the motor shaft is a bracket, upon which is mounted a wheel, which is in compressive contact with the roller. When the motor is turned on, the bracket rotates such that the wheel moves into the hand-drop region, contacting a document therein and then moves the document along the check guide path to an encoder station.

Compact encoder with power-assisted hand-drop capability

The encoder cartridge includes a cartridge body which is divided interiorly into upper and lower portions. A ribbon is mounted on a feed spool in the upper portion and feeds through a series of guide elements to a lower portion which includes a take-up reel upon which the ribbon is wound by a traction gear member which is in turn advanced by a motor. The cartridge body is configured to match closely that of the feed spool and take-up reel, with an opening at one end of the body for the ribbon, the opening being substantially smaller than the width of the cartridge and similar to the diameter of the encoder font wheel.

Ribbon cartridge for a compact remote-driven encoder

A remote-driven encoder which includes a feed tray assembly (12) and an autofeed roller assembly (14) which moves checks one at a time into a check guide path. A deskewing roller (46) moves the checks from the tray assembly (12) to the autofeed roller assembly (14). The check is moved along the check guide path by first and second drive assemblies (16, 20). Intermediate of the two drive assemblies (16, 20) is an encoder assembly (18) and a ribbon cartridge (22). The apparatus includes a plurality of sensors which provide information for control of the movement of the check, including a preload sensor (70), a detect sensor (88), and a leading edge sensor (90), among others. The check moves through a substantial angle from the feed tray past the encoder assembly. The encoded check is moved around an eject roller and then into a catch tray at the rear of the apparatus.

Compact remote-driven encoder with deskewing roller assembly

A remote-driven encoder which includes a feed tray assembly (12) and an autofeed roller assembly (14) which moves checks one at a time into a check guide path. Compact remote-driven encoder

An electronic, programmable check encoder (10) having a check guide (14) capable of receiving a check to be encoded. A plurality of sensors (40,42,44,46) locate the position of the check in the check guide (14). Following determination of the position of the check, the check is clamped and moved by a drive assembly to an encoder (80) and then moved out of the apparatus by an eject assembly. the structure and interrelationship of the check gudie (14), the sensors (40,42,44,46) the check drive assembly and the check eject assembly are such that the check processing speed is significantly increased.

MICR encoder

The check positioning system includes a guide tray (12) which in turn includes a guiding edge (31). Roller assemblies (18,20,22) in combination with associated lower gripping wheels (40,42,44) and a system (16) for driving the roller assemblies (18,20,22) move the check longitudinally in both directions along the guide tray (12). A clamping apparatus (48) controls the clamping of the check. A deskewing roller (28) on each of the roller assemblies moves the check laterally as well as longitudinally when the check is not clamped. A laterally movable edge detector (14) detects the edges of the check so it can be located relative to the guide tray (12) for accurate printing/encoding of the check.
