A bumper sized to fit a cylinder of a fastener driving tool includes a side profile of the bumper defined by a plurality of flat regions and a plurality of convex regions around an outer periphery of the bumper. Included in the bumper are an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface. The flat and convex regions are disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the bumper in an alternating pattern.

A blind guide work contact tip for mounting to a drive probe of a fastening tool is shaped in a manner which allows for an angled nail placement, such as 45 degree into a workpiece. The blind guide work contact is a one-piece attachment which is fitted around the existing drive probe and includes a body and two wings which extend therefrom forming a channel through which a fastener passes into the workpiece. The body has a work surface with a peak and sloped slides adjacent each side of the peak at approximately 45 degrees. The sloped surfaces allows the blind guide work contact tip to better access corners and angled spaces than previous work contact tips. The work contact tip also has a flat portion at the peak of the work surface so as to not inhibit face nailing.

An adjustable depth of drive assembly for use with a fastener driving tool includes a workpiece contact element having a contact end and an adjustment end, a rotatable adjustment member configured for being securable to the tool and being displaceable between an adjusting position in which the workpiece contact element is movable relative to the tool and a locked position wherein the adjustment end is non-movable relative to the tool, and at least one locking detent being reciprocally engaged and disengaged from at least one locating hole by manually overcoming a spring bias to displace the rotatable member from said locked position to said adjustment position for securing said adjustment end in a selected locked position relative to said housing without the use of tools.
