A filter tube frame for use with a filter bag house. The filter tube frame includes an end cap having a pivotable handle attached thereto to facilitate removal of the tube frame from the bag house. The handle includes a lever surface adapted to engage a tube sheet surface, thus, during use, providing a force to urge the end cap away from the tube sheet and unseat the filter tube frame from the tube sheet.

Filter frame for bag house filter, and method

A method of cleaning a filter element includes discharging a quantity of pressurized air from a blow pipe into a Venturi element in air flow communication with a filter element to provide a positive cleaning pressure differential along greater than 95% of a length of the filter element. In one arrangement, an air filter assembly for accomplishing this method comprises a housing, a first filter construction, a first Venturi element, and a pulse jet cleaning system including a blow pipe. The blow pipe and the Venturi element are constructed and arranged to provide a positive cleaning pressure differential along greater than at least 75% of the length of the filter media within the element. In one embodiment, the Venturi element is described as including a specially formed contoured section in the throat portion of the element.

Air filter assembly for filtering air with particulate matter

A filter element includes first and second ends, an extension of filter media, an outer liner, an inner liner, and a sealing ring. The first end cap consists essentially of a foamed polyurethane having an as molded density of about 14-22 pounds per cubic foot. The sealing ring extends outwardly only from the outer surface of the first end cap. The sealing ring is a molded part of the first end cap and consists essentially of foamed polyurethane having an as molded density of about 14-22 pounds per cubic foot. The sealing ring has an axially directed top edge, first and second sidewall portions, and a base. The first and second sidewall portions are immediately adjacent to and angled from the top edge of the sealing ring.

Filter element

The invention is directed toward a filter element for mounting on an air filter system. The filter element has a central air flow aperture and a first slide or support construction. The slide or support construction has a central rim, which is positioned within the central air flow aperture and is oriented to support the filter element.

Method and apparatus for filtering air are disclosed. A preferred cabinet collector (10) according to the invention includes a housing defining an upper chamber (b 20a) and a lower chamber (20b). Separating the chambers (20a, 20b) are a pair of wedge-shaped filter assemblies (38, 38'). First ends (42, 42') of the filter assemblies (38, 38') are attached the housing wherein second ends (44, 44') are free. Provision is made to automatically periodically move the second ends (44, 44') to clean the filter media, filter displacement apparatus 'snapping' the filter assemblies (38, 38') and another displacement apparatus 'vibrating' the filter assemblies (38, 38') to achieve the desired media cleaning.

A novel arrangement for mounting the filter elements of an air filter in a manner which facilitates their removal and replacement without tools or accessories.

Filter element mounting mechanism

An apparatus for filtering particulate material from air and for removing the particulate material collected upon a filter is disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet. A hollow longitudinally extending filter is secured within the housing for filtering particulate material from the air passing from the inlet to the outlet. The hollow filter has a relatively rigid configuration but still is capable of being distorted. The hollow filter is formed of a pleated porous material. One longitudinal end of the filter is secured relative to the housing and a closure plate is secured to the other longitudinal end. A mechanism is provided for moving the plate to distort the filter and remove particulate material collected thereon.
