A method and apparatus to read an analog dial utility meter including a plurality of analog dials, where each dial includes a rotating dial indicator is provided. The apparatus is configured to analyze a digital image of the analog dial utility meter to determine a value of each dial of the utility meter. The method comprises receiving a digital image of the analog dial utility meter, and performing one or more processing and analysis steps to determine a meter reading of the utility meter.

The invention disclosed is a new system and method for providing the mutual sharing of resources devoted to customer service. The system utilizes a telecommunications switching apparatus to rout incoming customer contacts to one or more pools of customer service agents. The system provides for a universal customer service interface that allows customer service agents to assist customers of other related companies. The automated system for sharing customer service resources includes a mutual assistance routing system in communication with requesting users of customer service agents, responding providers of customer service agents, databases containing customer information, thereby allowing customers who contact the requesting user to be served by shared agents.

Described in this application is a kit for adapting a paint brush having a handle opening. The kit includes a tool for improving the usefulness of the paint brush; a bushing receivable within the handle opening of the paint brush; a screw for passing through the tool and bushing and joining the tool to the paint brush; and a locking nut for securing the screw to the paint brush.

With the advent of automated telephonic message delivery, certain public safety agencies, such as police departments and fire departments, seek to deliver mass messages to citizenry at risk during emergency situations.

An after-market dishwasher stats indicator has a housing and an indicator member slidable therein. The housing has left and right end openings and a rear aspect or wall to be held at the dishwasher door front and a top wall extending obliquely therefrom with a viewing window such that indicia on the indicator member is viewable through the viewing window by a user standing astride the dishwasher. The member has first and second different indicia thereon, one indicative of a clean status of the dishwasher and the other indicative of a dirty or ready to be loaded status of the dishwasher. The different indicia are separately viewable through the viewing window depending on the position of the member, such that when the rear aspect is held to the dishwasher door front, the selected indicia is viewable to a user standing astride the dishwasher door front.

The invention is directed to efficient notification of the hearing impaired during emergencies. A message initiating agency and an administrator create an outbound message for delivery and further selects a number of campaign related parameters. A telecommunications interface module is provided that is capable of detecting the presence of a connected TTY device, and a connected TTY device logging system for recording in a database the occurrences of detection of a TTY devices associated with a particular telecommunications interface, or outbound message contact. The system delivers the campaign message to one or more telecommunications interfaces, delivers a TTY compatible message or a provides notification to said administrator of the detection of a connected TTY device, and records the incidence of failures to deliver the campaign message.

A system comprises a connection accessible to one or more incoming nodes, a call transfer interface for connecting the connection with the incoming nodes to a call transfer module capable of communicating with the incoming nodes, a distributed network of two or more provider nodes interfacing with the call transfer module through a router, the router connected to the call transfer module and provider nodes connected to the distributed network, said provider nodes connected to the incoming nodes through the router connected to the call transfer module connected to the call transfer interface and routed by the router in accordance with a provider node priority.
