A person can use a portable electronic device to electronically purchase or otherwise request a product, service or other deliverable related to audio programming to which the person is listening at the time they initiate the request. The request is fulfilled by a service that analyzes the audio content to identify the deliverable the person desires.

A handheld device of a waiter is used to automatically associate a check with a table at a restaurant and to recall and modify that check. In an embodiment, two waiters use one or more handheld devices to automatically transfer a customer's check to one another.

Embodiments of the present invention are drawn to systems and methods for securing information using cryptographically keyed units. Specifically, in one embodiment of the present invention, a system is provided for securing information that uses two cryptographically keyed units to encrypt information flowing between a fuel pump device and a remote device. Thus, even if the information is intercepted, it could not be used to perpetrate fraud.

Aspects of the present disclosure are generally related to one or more systems, methods, and devices for providing an integrated tire inflation system, mounted on each tire, wheel, rim, axle, or structure of the vehicle, that communicates with a remote device (e.g., communication device located in the cab of the vehicle and/or a remote network entity) and obtains an optimal tire pressure from the network entity that is calculated to maximize fuel economy, tread life, load, or an environmental condition. In some examples, the integrated telematics system may periodically measure and transmit data associated with the tire to the communication device in the cab and/or to a network entity that may calculate the optimal tire pressure for each tire on the vehicle. The integrated telematics system may receive the optimal tire pressure information from the communication device and/or the network entity and automatically adjust the tire pressure accordingly.

Techniques for retail printing are provided. A handheld device is placed within a configured proximity to a printer and acquires a printer identifier for that printer. The handheld device transmits the identifier and print data opened on the handheld to a printer server service. The printer server service maps the identifier to the printer and forwards the print data to the printer for printing on behalf of the handheld device.

An approach is provided for indirectly connecting a customer's mobile smart device to computers located at a business when the customer is making a purchase at the business. The customer's mobile smart device and the business's computers communicate over the Internet with a customer interaction manager executing on an Internet server. A remote, secure maintenance and support system, method, network entity and computer program product are provided. The system can include site terminal(s) and/or a site server (collectively 'site device(s)'), a data center in communication with the site device(s) over a first secure tunnel, and at least one client terminal in communication with the data center over a second secure tunnel. The site device(s) can be configured to periodically transmit to the data center one or more error messages over the first secure tunnel. The data center can, in turn, be configured to make the error messages accessible to at least one authorized technician operating one of the client terminals. The client terminal can be configured to retrieve at least one of the error messages over the second secure tunnel and to take an action associated with resolving the error message.
