A game card carrier is disclosed that has a first panel having a first interior surface and a first edge, a second panel having a second interior surface and a second edge. The first panel and the second panel are disposed such that the first interior surface and the second interior surface face one another, the first edge is in alignment with the second edge. A band overlays at least a portion the first panel and at least a portion of the second panel to hold the first panel and the second panel adjacent one another.

A display apparatus includes a shroud having a first substrate and a second substrate disposed in opposition to one another, the first substrate and the second substrate being connected to one another at a first side by a first joint and at a second side by a second joint. A free-floating stop member is disposed in a volume of the shroud between the first and second substrates and between the first and second joints, the free-floating stop member including a channel extending along the free-floating stop member for at least a portion of a length of the free-floating stop member. An elastic member couples the first joint to the second joint to exert a tensile force therebetween and passes through the channel of the free-floating stop member. The free-floating stop member is translatable vertically within the shroud between a first position and a second position and the free-floating stop member is dimensioned to stop inward travel of the first joint and the second joint responsive to the tensile force exerted by the elastic member.

According to one aspect, a monitoring device includes a processor, a sensor, and a configuration circuit. The sensor is adapted to detect if the sensor is subjected to at least a first magnitude of the particular condition. The configuration circuit may be used to specify a second magnitude of the particular condition, wherein the second magnitude is greater than the first magnitude. The processor remains in an inactive state if the object is subjected to a magnitude of the particular condition less than the second magnitude, and the sensor generates a signal in response to detection of sensor being subjected to at least the second magnitude of the particular condition. In response to the signal, the processor enters an active state to develop an indication of at least the second magnitude of the particular condition.

Apparatus and method for monitoring a package during transit

Label apparatus having identification tags and tamper evident pattern release layers and methods of producing such labels are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first substrate, a first pattern of adhesive, a tamper-evident release layer, a second pattern of adhesive, a tag, a third pattern of adhesive, and a second substrate. The first pattern of adhesive includes a first adhesive. The first pattern of adhesive and the tamper-evident release layer are disposed on the first substrate. The second and third patterns of adhesive include a second adhesive. The second pattern of adhesive is disposed on the first substrate and surrounded by the first pattern of adhesive. The tag includes a remaining portion coupled to the first pattern of adhesive and a removable portion coupled to the second pattern of adhesive. The third pattern of adhesive is coupled to the tag, the first pattern of adhesive, and the second substrate.

Labels and methods of producing the same

A display apparatus includes a shroud having first and second sheet portions disposed in opposition to one another, the first and second sheet portions being connected to one another at a first side by a first joint and at a second side by a second joint. A support member is disposed between the first and second sheet portions and between the first and second joints, the support member being affixed to the first and second sheet portions and movably disposed relative to the first and second joints, the support member being positionable between a closed position and an open position, the open position outwardly biasing the support member against the first and second sheet portions to cause the shroud to assume a curvilinear cross-sectional shape along a length of the shroud. Notches are formed in the first and second joints at a first position along the length of the shroud. One or more elastic members couple the support member the first and/or second joints and bias the support member into the open position and toward engagement with the notches.

Self-erectable display and automatic locking mechanism for a self-erectable display

A method for operating a printing device and an image generation kit are disclosed. The image generation kit is adapted to controllably eject individual drops of a gating agent, and is operating the image generation kit in synchronism with a principal substance application apparatus to deposit the drops of the gating agent on a substrate and to transfer a principal substance to the substrate. The drops of the gating agent on the substrate define image and non-image areas of the substrate, the image and non-image areas of the substrate are undefined until the drops of the gating agent are deposited thereon, and the substrate with the principal substance transferred to the image areas is an end product of the printing device.

Method of operating a printing device and an image generation kit

Labels having identification tags and tamper evident pattern release layers and methods of producing such labels are disclosed. An example method includes moving a first substrate in a direction. The first substrate has a first side opposite a second side. The first side has a first adhesive and a pattern release layer. The method also includes coupling a third side of a tag to the first side of the first substrate. The tag includes the third side and a fourth side opposite the third side. The method also includes mating transfer tape of a second substrate over the first side and the fourth side. The second substrate includes a liner layer and the transfer tape. The transfer tape is to be positioned immediately adjacent the tag.

According to one aspect, a monitoring device for detecting when an object may be subjected to a condition includes a processor, a sensor, and a configuration circuit. The sensor is adapted to detect if the object is subjected to at least a first magnitude of the particular condition. The configuration circuit may be used to specify a second magnitude of the particular condition, wherein the second magnitude is greater than the first magnitude. Binder apparatus are disclosed. An example binder apparatus includes a housing, first and second carrier rails supported by the housing and a slider comprising slots or protrusions. The slider is movable between a first position and a second position, where (a) in the first position, the slider to secure the first and second carrier rails in a closed position, in the second position, and (b) the slider to enable pivotable movement of the first and second carrier rails. The binder apparatus also includes a lever including a groove and gear teeth. The groove is to receive ends of the first and second carrier rails to pivot the carrier rails between the closed position and an open position. The gear teeth are to matingly engage the slots or protrusions to transition the slider between the first position and the second position.

An example binder apparatus includes a housing, first and second carrier rails supported by the housing and a slider movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the slider to secure the first and second carrier rails in a closed position. In the second position, the slider to enable pivotable movement of the first and second carrier rail. The binder apparatus includes a lever to pivot the first carrier rail and the second carrier rail. The lever includes a groove and a channel. The groove to receive a portion of the first and second carrier rails, the channel to receive an end of the slider. The end of the slider to move within the channel to delay movement of the slider when the lever pivots the first and second carrier rails from the open position toward the closed position.

An example book addresser includes a print head to address varying thickness books and a lift movable relative to the print head between a first position and a second position to substantially maintain a distance between the print head and the varying thickness books.

Mailing lines and related methods

Apparatus and methods for controlling application of a substance to a substrate involve the use of one or more gating agents that block the substance from or attracts the substance to the substrate. The apparatus and methods may utilize ink jet technology to apply the gating agent directly to the substrate or to an intermediate surface.
