A corrugated pallet produced from two flat blanks is provided. The pallet may include a pallet top, a pallet bottom, and a plurality of corner straps locking the pallet top to the pallet bottom. Each of the pallet top and the pallet bottom may include folded portions, the folded portions of the pallet top interlocking with the folded portions of the pallet bottom when the pallet top and the pallet bottom are assembled to each other in nested relation. The pallet top may define a top surface of the pallet. The pallet bottom may define a bottom surface of the pallet. The corner straps may lock into one or both of the pallet top and the pallet bottom from the top or bottom surfaces of the pallet.

Corrugated pallet

A corrugated paperboard pallet is produced from two flat blanks which comprise a pallet top and a pallet bottom. The two blanks are each folded to produce only two parallel vertically extending double thickness ribs, three horizontal panels, two vertical side walls and two horizontal flaps. The ribs of the pallet top and pallet bottom lock each other from opening in the center of the pallet by intersecting perpendicularly with notches in the ribs. The horizontal flaps lock the ribs from opening at the edges of the pallet by intersecting perpendicularly with notches, and the vertical sidewalls include vertical flaps that open inward defining fork passages whereby the vertical flaps lock said horizontal flaps from opening.

A foldably constructed force-resisting structure comprises a top member and a bottom member foldably constructed and assembled from one or more blanks of sheet material, preferably corrugated paperboard, initially in a flat condition prior to folding. The bottom member includes a base panel and at least one interior support flap folded from the base panel to provide vertical support for a base panel of the top member disposed at least substantially parallel to the base panel of the bottom member. The top and bottom members may be interlockingly secured in various ways by interengagement of various portions of the one or more blanks themselves.

Foldably constructed force-resisting structures

A pallet assembled from two sheets of material, preferably corrugated paper board stamped with cutouts. Once the cutouts have been scored, the two sheets are then either manually or machine folded to form upper and lower frame members. The frame members are then interconnected, using barbed arrow-shaped fasteners and slots, in such a way as to create a force-resisting structure. Each of the fasteners is fabricated as a single, unitary piece with one of the frame members. No glue or other fasteners are required. In the pallet, the barbed arrow-shaped fasteners lock together upper and lower column elements within the frame members. Arrayed in contiguous pairs, the column elements are aligned so that each upper column element is disposed side by side with a lower column element, forming a single column of double thickness when the contiguous column elements are locked togehter. End flaps which bound the perimeter of the completed pallet are locked into position with the use of barbed arrow-shaped fasteners which are similar to those used in the column elements.

Foldable pallet with minimized use of material and having self-locking fasteners

A lamp for providing uniform luminosity in an area to be illuminated, such as in an operating theatre and the like. The lamp comprises a light source, an infrared filter element, a planar prism field, having a substantial number of radial sectors containing a plurality of transverse, outwardly curved prisms, and a toroidal lens system which controls the divergence of the light emanating from the light source so as to render the light substantially columnate and to direct the light onto the planar prism field, a transparent member beneath the planar prism field to protect the planar prism field from dirt, foreign material and scratches, and a handle extending downwardly from the face of the lamp by which the lamp can be manipulated. The radial sectors are held together in the planar prism field by attachment to one another. As a result, the transparent member can be thin since it is not required to support the planar prism field. The transparent member, therefor, can be removed for cleaning or replacement without disassembly of the planar prism field. The lens of the toroidal lens system is a conical Fresnel lens.

Lamp system for operating theatres and the like

The present invention relates to a lamp for providing uniform luminosity in an area to be illuminated, such as in an operating theatre and the like, comprising generally (a) a light source, (b) a planar field, said planar field comprising a substantial number of radial sectors containing a plurality of transverse, outwardly curved prisms, and (c) a toroidal lens system which controls the divergence of the light emanating from the light source so as to render the light substantially columnate and direct the light onto the planar field. The present invention also includes structure whereby the radial sectors are held together in the planar field by attachment to one another, such as by tongue-and-groove means, and further includes (d) a transparent member located between the planar field and the area to be illuminated which protects the prism sectors from soil and injury.

A steering stabilizer is connected between a fixed point on a vehicle frame and a moving point in the steering linkage which connects the vehicle's steerable wheels to the steering gears. The stabilizer includes a single coil spring and two pairs of connecting rods. One of the pairs of rods is secured to the fixed point of the vehicle frame and the other pair is connected to the vehicle steering linkage. The rods have left and right arms positioned adjacent opposite ends of the spring so that the connecting rods can transmit movement of the steering linkage (relative to the fixed point) to the spring to compress the spring when the steering linkage moves both away from as well as towards the fixed point on the frame. The spring is dimensionally sized and the left and right arms are selectively spaced so that the stabilizer is self centering in the absence of external forces acting on the steering linkage. In a first embodiment, the left and right arms of the rods are connected to form a loop encircling circumferential portions of the coil spring, whereas in the second embodiment the left and right arms do not form such a loop in order to facilitate assembly of the stabilizer.

Steering stabilizer

A safety stabilizer for vehicle steering linkages for connection between a fixed portion of the vehicle and a movable element of the steering linkage comprising an outer cylinder and an inner fluid filled cylinder extending longitudinally through one end of the outer cylinder and movable relative thereto. A coil spring is mounted within the outer cylinder surrounding the inner cylinder. Two pairs of spaced apart annular stops affixed to the cylinders cooperate to compress the spring upon longitudinal movement of the fluid filled cylinder in either direction relative to the outer cylinder. A piston and piston rod are movable mounted within the fluid filled cylinder. The piston rod extends through the end of the fluid filled cylinder contained within the outer cylinder and is affixed to the outer cylinder.
