Disclosed is a quick release tool belt for the waist of a user, which includes a support strap, a release band with belt teeth on a first end and a binding with a release mechanism on the second end and slidably coupled to the release band. The binding has a base, a release rotationally attached to the base with a tooth lock, a tooth coupling rotationally attached to the base and engaged with the release and the release band, and a lever rotationally attached to the release and engaged with the release band with a tightening tooth. When the release is in the engaged position the tooth coupling and the lever are engaged with the release band and when the release is in the release position, the tooth coupling is operably engaged with the release and the tooth coupling and the lever are disengaged with the release band.

Automated launch torque is provided. An automated virtual launch torque generation (AVL-TG) system may be included in a vehicle, such as a heavy duty truck, that may interoperate with an adaptive cruise control (CC) system to move the vehicle from a standstill or low speed to a CC handover speed. The AVL-TG system may determine a tip-in torque curve configured to mimic a torque curve generated by a human operator's acceleration pedal tip-in from a standstill or low speed. The tip-in torque curve may be represented by torque demand values corresponding to a dynamic pedal saturation level applied over a dynamic pedal rate. The torque demand values determined by the AVL-TG system may mimic an expected or human vehicle operator generated torque request, and may operate to successfully close the clutch and smoothly launch the vehicle from a standstill or low speed.

A device for detecting and catching a leak from a fire sprinkler includes a leak sensor configured to detect the leak, and a leak catcher configured to catch the leak before the leak makes contact with surrounding areas. The device also includes an alarm module configured to issue a notification upon detection of the leak, and a mounting mechanism configured to removably mount the leak sensor, the leak catcher, and the alarm module to the fire sprinkler in a manner that does not obstruct operation of the fire sprinkler.

System and method for detecting fluid leak

A system to protect and reconfigure a computer network in case of advance warning of a disruption event that would disrupt the operation of the computer network is presented. The system comprises a main control system (MCS) that comprises a software system that makes continuous local backups of data nodes, maintains a plurality of remote backups, and maintains an ordered list of the remote backups. With the first warning of the disruption event, the MCS: 1) locks down some virtual servers at each remote backup and secures a selected remote backup; 2) determines the expected start and end time of the disruption event; 3) warns users about the disruption event; 4) uses the selected remote backup to provide a local copy of the data nodes; and 5) shuts down vulnerable critical systems. When the disruption event occurs, the MCS promotes the selected remote backup to be the primary data node.

A variable volume container comprises a sidewall, a base having a ribbed region, and a diaphragm. The ribbed region has a plurality of concentric ribs extending from the diaphragm, and flexure zones between each rib. The flexure zones allow for accordion-like movement of the diaphragm in response to the internal pressure of the container. The ribs are characterized has having a uniformly arced interior curved surface and a distorted arced exterior curved surface. The ribs are four to eight times the width of the flexure zones, and the flexure zones have an exterior surface shorter than its bottom surface. During vacuum sealing, these features allow the diaphragm to retract upward to reduce the volume of the container while maintaining shape and structural stability of the container. This is especially useful for food packaging operations where containers need to be able to withstand conditions such as high pressure, heat, and/or vacuums.

A sheath for covering an intravenous device to shield the device from a patient's skin. The sheath includes a layer of a soft woven material; and a thin layer of a plastic material formed on an inner surface of the soft woven material to form, with said soft woven material, a pliable wrap meant to be disposed about the intravenous device for shielding the patient's skin from the intravenous device. The pliable wrap has inner and outer surfaces, top and bottom ends, and respective sides. An elastic member is secured to at least one of the top and bottom surfaces of the pliable wrap to provide a gathered area surrounding the intravenous device at at least one end thereof. A fastening member is secured between the respective sides of the pliable wrap to extend in a closed manner about the intravenous device.

An inflatable fabric cushion is disclosed that can maintain a high internal pressure while having an exposed inflator squib. The inflatable cushion has a precision opening sized to be commensurate with a diameter of the inflator squib. The precision opening tightly circumscribes the inflator to limit leakage of inflation gas when the squib projects out of the opening. The cushion also has a throat through which the inflator may be inserted into the cushion. After the inflator is inserted into the cushion, the throat is sealed closed by wrapping the throat around the inflator housing and being cinched when the airbag assembly is mounted on a vehicle.

An adjustable position tool guide is disclosed for performing operations with tools on a work piece at an accurate distance and orientation with respect to edges or other features of the work piece in a highly convenient manner. The tool guide includes a base for positioning on the work piece. The base has a base edge for aligning in a substantially parallel orientation to a longitudinal axis of the work piece, and a work edge oriented perpendicular to the base edge for being oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the work piece when the base edge is aligned parallel with the longitudinal axis. The guide also includes a tape measure mounting assembly mounted on the base for mounting a tape measure on the base. The tape measure mounting assembly is slidably moveable on the base along a line oriented substantially parallel to the base edge of the base.

Adjustable position tool guide

A container lid having a tamper evident and tamper resistant band formed of a plurality of equally spaced tabs having spurs that engage the rim of a container with latches formed on the spurs. In one embodiment the tamper evident band is unique because it hinges up instead of down and has a plurality of spurs with a stepped edge forming latches with the spurs engaging slots around the periphery of the lid. The reverse action makes the step edges on the spurs on the inside of tabs formed on the tamper resistant strip pull tighter when any attempt is made to pry or remove the lid from a container or cup. The lid also includes an annulus having interior surfaces that provide an excellent seal both inside and outside of the cup when the tamper resistant band is removed. In a second embodiment a tamper resistant band is formed with a curved surface to engage the exterior surface of the cup and has a plurality of spurs with a detent forming a latch to engage the lower edge of the skirt around the periphery of the lid. Each tab on the tamper resistant and tamper evident band has preferably two spurs.
