A dental instrument system has an optical component with a mirror for the dental practitioner to view a patient's mouth. A light source and an airflow source have a plurality of output levels that are controlled by a user input on the handle, such as a single button. The output levels of the light and airflow are controlled by a single or double click, wherein a single click increases the output level of the airflow and a double click increases the output level of the light, for example. The light source illuminates the mirror and the airflow source produces airflow over the mirror to remove debris and bodily fluid. A clearing flow of air may be initiated by holding the single button down on the handle and release of the button may return the airflow to the previous level.

Multi-purpose dental instrument

A dental mirror instrument has a light waveguide and an airflow conduit that extend along the length of an elongated member to a mirror portion. An airflow exiting from the airflow conduit may be directed over the mirror surface to remove fluids and debris. Light from a light source is transmitted along the light waveguide and is reflected off of a back-side of a land portion through a Fresnel lens to produce a task light. A mirror may have a hydrophobic surface and this surface may have raised portions or a patterned surface that further enhances the removal of fluids or debris. The optical component of the dental instrument may be detachable to a source component and may be disposable. A flexible connector may be coupled with the source component to provide an airflow to the airflow conduit and/or electrical power to the light source.

A parts storage drawer system is described having part bin dividers that are easily adjusted by sliding the divider along a rail or divider enables changing of divider location without removal of the divider from the drawer. A parts identification card may be coupled to a divider, such as by insertion into a slot within a divider. Furthermore, a parts identification card may be inserted into and removed from a divider without removing or repositioning the divider. A parts storage drawer system may be an insert tray that may comprise one or more molded parts. The parts storage drawer system provides an organizational method for the storage, separation, identification and availability of a variety of parts through the utilization of mechanical means, including dividers having clips that extend over partitions or rails for coupling thereto. Partitions and/or rails may include a plurality of locking segments for detachably attaching dividers.

Parts storage drawer system

A process and composition for sealing a flanged metal enclosure both physically and electromagnetically by a gasket comprising metal-plated microporous polytetrafluoroethylene in either sheet or tube form. The sheets may be coated by conductive elastomers and the tubes filled with conductive elastomers.

Metallized microporous polytetrafluoroethylene electromagnetic energy

An integral filter leaf assembly comprising microporous polymeric filter cloths heat-bonded to the apices of an undulating screen to form a strong unitary pressure resistant filter unit which essentially replaces filter leaf assemblies. The screen and felt sides of the filter cloths are preferably heat sealable thermoplastics, usually polypropylene to allow heat-bonding and heat-sealing of seams throughout for a unitary assembly strong in compression. Outer filter coat is preferably porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene. Optionally, a circumferential stiff load-bearing frame may be enclosed within the assembly.

Integral supported filter medium assembly

This invention provides a filter cloth assembly for use on a filter plate of a center-feed filter press, which comprises a two-part filter cloth with fittings for rapid and easy assembly on the filter plate, one cloth on each side. Methods of manufacture of the novel assembly and its parts and a new method for bonding otherwise incompatible plastics and elastomers are disclosed.

Filter cloth assembly

A filter cartridge for removing particles or dust from a stream of moving gas or air, including a filter medium disposed between a pleated inner wire support frame, outer longitudinal wire support stays disposed along each inner apex of the pleats of the filter medium, and end caps. The outer wire stays are formed from inwardly bent wires which attach at each end to the inner frame and exert pressure on the filter medium to support it against inner pressure of a pulse jet cleaning device. Preferred filter media are felt or fabric composites containing a layer of porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane. A preferred form of lower end cap has the periphery contoured to conform to the configuration of the filter medium and inner support frame. The cartridge structure is advantageous in preventing build-up of ledges of dust on protuberances, with consequent reduction of filter efficiency.

Filter cartridge

An anti-fouling marine coating comprising a hydrophobic porous polymeric membrane adhered to a surface by a marine paint containing a biological toxicant. An organism attaches, penetrates pores, releases the toxicant, weakens or dies, is swept away by water action. Biologically triggered toxicant release, no leaching into the sea, porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane preferred.
