An apparatus for filling a cartridge with medical gas, comprising a sealing mechanism designed to removably seal against the open end of an uncapped and empty cartridge, evacuate the cartridge, producing at least a partial vacuum therein, fill the cartridge with medical gas at a predetermined pressure and temperature, and maintain the predetermined pressure and temperature while the cartridge is capped is presented.

Apparatus for filling pressurized gas cartridges for medical use

A system for preparing a refrigerant sample for analysis including a pressure regulator assembly including a pressure regulator and provisions for heating a refrigerant sample contained within an interior region of the pressure regulator. The pressure regulator defines an inlet through which the refrigerant sample is delivered and an outlet through which the refrigerant sample is expelled. The system also includes a filter assembly having an inlet that is fluidly connected to the outlet of the pressure regulator to receive the vaporized refrigerant sample from the pressure regulator, at least one filter for removing contaminants from the refrigerant sample, and an outlet that is configured to be coupled to a refrigerant analysis system for analyzing a composition of the refrigerant sample.

System and method for analyzing a refrigerant sample

In a system including a gas source, a target cylinder for receiving gas, a conduit for carrying gas, and a valve for controlling the flow of gas, a method of dosing the target cylinder with gas is disclosed. The method comprises the step of calculating a mass flow rate for dosing the conduit and the target cylinder. The valve is biased to an open position to permit gas to flow through the conduit and into the target cylinder. The mass flow rate and the cumulative mass of gas flowing through the conduit are measured using a mass flow meter. The valve is biased to maintain the measured mass flow rate of gas flowing through the conduit substantially equivalent to the calculated mass flow rate. The valve is biased to a closed position once the measured cumulative mass of gas is substantially equivalent to the pre-determined mass of gas.

Coriolis dosing system for filling gas cylinders

A system for certifying a concentration of gas in a cylinder includes a gas cell configured to receive a sample gas from a cylinder, and an FTIR module coupled to the gas cell for scanning the sample gas and forming a beam spectrum. A processor is coupled to the FTIR module for calculating an intensity response of the sample gas based on the beam spectrum. A storage device is included for storing data points of a plot of intensity response of a known gas versus concentration levels. The processor is configured to interpolate between the stored data points of the plot to determine an interpolated data point corresponding to the intensity response of the sample gas. The processor provides to the user a concentration level of the sample gas, based on the interpolated data point.
