Systems and methods for percutaneous access, stabilization and closure of organs

A method of implanting a replacement mitral valve can include expanding a replacement mitral valve to a first expanded configuration. The replacement mitral valve can include a force-expanding mitral valve lattice and a self-expanding valve trampoline lattice. The mitral valve lattice has an inflow end portion and an outflow end portion, and the valve trampoline lattice is attached to the outflow end portion of the mitral valve lattice. The method can also include rotating a plurality of jack screws connected to the mitral valve lattice. The jack screws can be configured to expand the mitral valve lattice from the first expanded configuration to a second expanded configuration.

Actively controllable heart valve implant and method of controlling same

A method of implanting a prosthetic heart valve includes advancing a prosthetic heart valve to an implantation location within a patient's body, positioning the prosthetic heart valve within a native heart valve annulus, expanding a frame of the prosthetic heart valve from a first contracted configuration to a first expanded configuration, and then contracting the frame to a second contracted configuration. The prosthetic heart valve may be repositioned and then re-expanded from the second contracted configuration to a second expanded configuration. The prosthetic heart valve is preferably released from the delivery apparatus while in the second expanded configuration. Releasing the prosthetic heart valve from the delivery apparatus may result in radial expansion of a flange portion of the prosthetic heart valve.

Systems and methods for anchoring and sealing a prosthetic heart valve

Embodiments of the present invention provide devices, systems, and methods for implanting and using a connector in a tissue wall to establish, maintain, control, and close a fluid communication between opposing surfaces of the tissue wall. The connector may include an anchoring device, a port, and a coupler device. The anchoring device may be configured for advancing at least partially through the tissue wall. The port may be positioned about a proximal end of the anchoring device, and the port may define an aperture therethrough. The coupler device may be positioned about a proximal end of the port, and the coupler device may be configured for coupling to a medical device.

Devices, systems, and methods for implanting and using a connector in a tissue wall

Embodiments of the invention provide systems, apparatus, device and methods for sealing a puncture in a tissue wall. According to one aspect, the system includes at least one supporting element for insertion into or placement on at least a portion of a tissue wall proximate a puncture to prevent expansion of the puncture; and a closing element adapted for at least partial insertion into the tissue wall and shaped to compress at least a portion of a tissue wall in an inward direction to close the tissue puncture when inserted at least partially into the tissue wall.

Systems for sealing a tissue wall puncture

A mitral valve implant includes a force-expanding mitral valve lattice having an interior orifice and a self-expanding valve trampoline attached at the interior orifice of the force-expanding mitral valve lattice. The mitral valve lattice is self-expandable to a first configuration and force expandable from the first configuration to a second configuration. The configurations can be circular or D-shaped. The mitral valve lattice comprises jack screws adjusting configurations of the mitral valve lattice. The valve trampoline has a cylindrical central region comprising valve leaflets. An outwardly flaring implant skirt is attached to the mitral valve lattice exterior. Wall-retaining wires are attached to the mitral valve lattice, are petal-shaped, and have a pre-set, radially outward, memory shape. The wires and skirt impart a force on a respective side of the native mitral valve when the mitral valve lattice is expanded within an annulus of the native mitral valve.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a prosthetic heart valve. The prosthetic heart valve includes an outer frame, an inner frame positioned at least partially within the outer frame, and an occluder member positioned at least partially within the inner frame. The prosthetic heart valve also includes an atrial flange extending from an atrial end of the outer frame, and a ventricular flange extending from a ventricular end of the outer frame, wherein at least a portion of the atrial flange extends radially outward beyond the ventricular flange.
