A blisk fan is provided for a turbine engine propulsion system. The blisk fan includes a hub configured to rotate about a rotational axis at a maximum rotational speed, and a plurality of blades extending radially outward from the hub to define a fan leading edge tip diameter. Each of the blades has a first vibratory mode at a natural frequency, which is greater than a first fan order and less than a second fan order at the maximum rotational speed. The compression system preferably has a balance factor of the compression system between 1.9 and 3.2.

Compression system for a turbine engine

A gas turbine engine rotor tip clearance and shaft dynamics system and method are provided. The system includes a gas turbine engine that is disposed within an engine case and includes a rotor. A rotor bearing assembly disposed within the engine case rotationally mounts the gas turbine engine rotor. Vibration isolators mounted on the engine case are coupled to the rotor bearing assembly, and are configured to provide linear and independently tunable stiffness and damping. A method includes determining the location of a gas turbine engine rotor rotational axis, disposing the gas turbine engine rotor in an engine case at the rotational axis location, mounting a plurality of vibration isolators that include a plurality of adjustment devices on the engine case, coupling each vibration isolator to the gas turbine engine rotor, and locking the gas turbine engine rotor at the rotational axis location using the plurality of adjustment devices.

Spacers and turbines are provided. In an embodiment, and by way of example only, a spacer includes a strip, a first retention flange, and a second retention flange. The strip has a first edge, a second edge, and an impingement surface, and the impingement surface extends axially along the strip between the first edge and the second edge and is substantially flat. The first retention flange is recessed relative to the impingement surface and extends away from the first edge of the strip. The second retention flange is recessed relative to the impingement surface and extends away from the second edge of the strip.
