The present document describes a method of producing sulfur particles by injecting an unbroken stream of molten sulfur under a pulsation free pressure, from a distance, into tempered water moving at a velocity, to produce a physical reaction of said molten sulfur with said tempered water to produce sulfur particles. Also described are sulfur particles produced by the process and methods of using the same for fertilizing soil.

Process for the production of micronized sulfur

A method of producing glucosamine hydrochloride from chitin by grinding the chitin to a very fine size and digestion with concentrated hydrochloric acid. The glucosamine hydrochloride is decolorized with activated charcoal, washed with ethanol and assayed by pH titration with a base.

Preparation of glucosamine hydrochloride

Individual sweet glycosides are obtained from the stevia rebaudiana plant. A mixture of sweet glycosides extracted from the stevia rebaudiana plant are processed to remove impurities by using two ion exchange columns. After removing the mixed sweet glycosides from the second column with methanol the solution is dried. Upon refluxing the dried solids in a methanol solution and then cooling the solution, Stevioside precipitates out. The filtrate is further concentrated and cooled to precipitate out Rebaudioside A. This Rebaudioside A can be further purified as can the previously obtained Stevioside.

Method of extracting selected sweet glycosides from the Stevia

A method of producing micron sized sulphur granules involving the following described steps. Firstly, heating sulphur until the sulphur becomes molten. Secondly, tempering water and inducing movement of the water at velocity. Thirdly, injecting an unbroken stream of the molten sulphur under pressure into the heated water moving at velocity. An explosive dispersion of the molten sulphur into fine sulphur granules occurs, enhanced by shear forces exerted by the movement of the heated water at velocity. The described method is capable of producing spherical sulphur granules within a broad range of 70 microns to submicron sizes. In the preferred ranges, spherical sulphur granules of less than 10 microns are be obtained.
