A firearm holster that includes a back pad having front and back sides. The firearm holster includes a rigid front plate connected to the front side of the back pad. The front side of the back pad and the rigid front plate define a pocket. The firearm holster includes a first tensioning mechanism connected to the back side of the back pad. The first tensioning mechanism is configured to vary tension applied to a firearm within the pocket. The firearm holster may include a second tensioning mechanism connected to the back side of the back pad. The second tensioning mechanism is configured to vary tension applied to the firearm within the pocket. The orientation of the tensioning mechanisms may be varied to vary the tension applied to a firearm positioned within the pocket of the holster. One or more compressible washers may be used to vary the tension.

A magazine holster is a unitary body that includes an inner cavity configured to receive a magazine. A firearm holster that is a unitary body that includes an inner cavity configured to receive a firearm. The inner cavity includes a first end and a second end opposite of the first end. The holster includes a first opening into the inner cavity adjacent to the second end of the unitary body and a second opening into the inner cavity adjacent to the second end of the unitary body. The firearm holster includes an internal shoulder positioned within the inner cavity. The unitary body selectively retains a firearm positioned within the inner cavity as a force is applied to the firearm by the internal shoulder. The holster may be an elastomer, a thermoplastic elastomer, ethylene vinyl acetate, rubber, silicon, or a combination thereof. The holster may be comprised of ethyl vinyl acetate.

A cushioned article includes a cage and a compressible material. The cage has at least one opening, an interior volume, and an outer surface. The at least one opening provides a passage from the outer surface to the interior volume. The compressible material extends through the at least one opening in the cage. A method for manufacturing a cushioned article includes providing a mold having at least one cavity, placing a cage within the mold, and injecting a compressible material into an interior of the cage. The cage includes at least one opening. A portion of the compressible material flows through the at least one opening in the cage and fills the at least one cavity of the mold. One or more shields may be connected to the cage before injection. The shields may be removed with the cage and heat treated with the shields still connected to the cage.

A cushioned article includes a cage and a compressible material. The cage has at least one opening, an interior volume, and an outer surface. The at least one opening provides a passage from the outer surface to the interior volume. The compressible material extends through the at least one opening in the cage. A method for manufacturing a cushioned article includes providing a mold having at least one cavity, placing a cage within the mold, and injecting a compressible material into an interior of the cage. The cage includes at least one opening. A portion of the compressible material flows through the at least one opening in the cage and fills the at least one cavity of the mold.

Firearm accessory rail

A modular shotgun magazine including an upper portion and a lower portion that are interchangeable with other upper and lower portions. The upper portion includes a first interior, and upper opening, a lower opening, and a lower flange. The lower portion includes a second interior with an upper opening and an upper flange. The upper flange of the lower portion is connected to the lower flange of the upper portion so that the first and second interiors form a cavity. A fastening mechanism selectively connects the upper portion to the lower portion. The upper portion of the modular magazine may be connected to various lower portions having different shell capacities. The lower portion of the modular magazine may be connected to different upper portions that are configured to mate with a receiver of different shotguns.

Modular shotgun box magazine

A mechanism for selectively connecting a magazine tube to a receiver of a magazine fed shotgun. The mechanism permits the rapid attachment to or detachment from of the magazine tube to the receiver of the shotgun. The mechanism may be a connector threaded into the end of the magazine tube. A locking profile may be connected to the end of the connector and may provide an access path. A pin may be passed through the access path and the magazine tube may then be rotated to position the pin into the locking profile. The rotation may be less than one half of a rotation. A plug may be threaded into the receiver. The pin may be connected to the plug. A spring may be used to bias the magazine tube in a locked position. A protrusion and nut may prevent movement between the magazine tube and receiver.

Rapid disassembling shotgun

A magazine lock for a firearm includes a magazine well and a magazine latch. The lock includes a tube nut positioned within a housing. The tube nut is connected to the magazine latch of the firearm. When tightened down, the tube nut prevents the magazine latch from releasing a magazine from the magazine well. A tool is provided to engage the tube nut and rotate the tube nut within the housing permitting the magazine latch to release the magazine. The housing includes a biased engagement feature that selectively prevents the rotation of the tube nut within the housing. The tool is configured to overcome the biased engagement feature and to engage the tube nut so that rotation of the tool rotates the tube nut. A breech block inserted into the top of a magazine inserted into the firearm may also be used to lock the firearm.

A camouflage system includes a layer of an adhesion promoter so paint will adhere to the surface of an article and a first layer of paint applied to the surface on top of the adhesion promoter. A second layer of paint of a different color is applied to a portion of the first layer of paint. The second layer of paint may be in the form of a design, symbol, brand, logo, mark, and/or name. A multi-color layer is then applied to the surface of the article over the layers of paint. The multi-color layer may be a camouflage ink pattern. A clear coat may be applied over the multi-color layer. The multi-color layer affects the visual appearance of the second layer of paint. The second layer of paint may be visible at one viewing angle and may be less visible or non-visible at a different viewing angle.

Camouflage branding system and method

A rear stock for a shotgun that includes at least one tube adapted for the storage of shotgun shells. The rear stock may include a tube positioned on each side of the stock for the storage of a plurality of shotgun shells. A switch slideably mounted to the front of the stock may be moved toward one of the tubes to partially eject a portion of a shotgun shell positioned with the tube. A protrusion connected to the switch extends into a portion of the tube and movement of the switch towards a side of the stock engages the protrusion against a shell stored in the tube. The continued movement of the protrusion forces a portion of the shell against a tapered surface on an internal shoulder cause a portion of the shell to be ejected from the tube within the stock.

A forend for a firearm that includes a sight tunnel through the forend. The forend may be adapted to actuate a tube magazine of a shotgun to insert a shell from the tube magazine into a receiver of the shotgun. The forend may include an integral heat shield to protect a shooter from heat off of the barrel of the firearm. The forend may include a rail, such as an accessory rail, such as a Picatinny rail, that permits the attachment of an accessory to the top of the forend. The sight tunnel through the forend is below the accessory rail and permits the attachment of a light accessory to light up a front sight and/or a target. The front sight may be viewed through the sight tunnel by an operator of a firearm using the forend.

A dynamic latch to selectively retain a magazine within the magazine port of a long gun. The dynamic latch permits the magazine to be inserted into the magazine port by movement in a single direction eliminating the need to rotate the magazine in order to secure it within the magazine port. The dynamic latch may include an outer housing, a piston positioned within the housing, and a spring positioned between the outer housing and the piston. A latch profile on the end of the piston may extend out of an opening in the end of a magazine well when the spring is in an uncompressed state.
