A system for replacing an original hose assembly of a work machine with a replacement hose assembly includes at least a computing device, a database, and a server. The server is associated with the database and includes a processor configured via computer-executable instructions to perform a method of identifying the replacement hose assembly. The method includes prompting a user to select hose attributes associated with a hose of the original hose assembly. Based on the selected hose attributes, a replacement hose may be identified. The method further includes prompting the user to select coupling attributes associated with a coupling of the original hose assembly. Based on compatibility with the identified replacement hose and the selected coupling attributes, a replacement coupling may be identified. The method further includes generating a bill of materials for the replacement hose assembly and displaying the bill of materials.

Hose assembly builder tool

A support clamp for securing components to a machine structure is disclosed herein. The support clamp is formed of a continuous wire that includes a first fastening portion, a second fastening portion, a first component receiving portion, and a second component receiving portion. The first and second fastening portions include a first arc shape extending in a first plane with the second fastening portion being symmetrical to the first fastening portion. The first and second component receiving portions include a second arc shape, each extending away from the first plane.

Universal support clamp

A method for reducing the incidence of piston pin failure by providing a retainer assembly for piston pin plugs such that the plugs cannot be removed or shaken lose during operation. A plastic rod is inserted into the piston pin, and the rod is ultrasonically welded to the stems of mushroom-shaped plastic piston plugs such that the plugs cover the open ends of the pin and are held in place by the cooperation of structure between the plugs and the rod. In an alternate embodiment, the stem of each pin plug is hollow and a respective internally threaded brass insert is disposed in the stem and ultrasonically welded therein. An externally threaded rod is then engaged with the two internally threaded inserts to hold the plugs on the piston pin.

Piston pin assembly

A vibration isolation or noise attenuation and fluid sealing system, for use in connection with internal combustion engine components. For example, for use in the mounting of a valve cover or rocker arm cover upon a cylinder block or cylinder head, or for the mounting of an oil pan cover upon an oil pan housing. The system has an isolation medium or member mechanically and/or chemically bonded to a peripheral flange portion of the cover member. A sealing flange member is chemically and/or mechanically bonded to the isolation member or medium. The three components being a one-piece unitary cover assembly. The fluid leakage along the interfaces defined between the three components is effectively eliminated. The one-piece assembly is secured to the cylinder block or head, or the oil pan housing, by shoulder bolt fasteners. The fasteners exert compressive forces upon the isolation member so as to vary the stiffness and frequency characteristics thereof. Thus, fine tuning of the stiffness can effectively absorb, dampen, and dissipate noise and vibration.

Isolated cover with independent sealing system

A process is provided for injection molding a plastic material into an interfacial space between a spherical ball and a spherical cavity of a ball and socket joint assembly to form a plastic bearing which has an as-molded tapered undercut. A sacrificial ring having a preselected outer diameter and a generally triangular cross-sectional shape is selected. The sacrificial ring is placed around the ball adjacent the neck of the ball assembly. The sacrificial ring is rigidly confined between the ball, the cavity, and the mold. The plastic material is injection molded into the interfacial space and a plastic bearing having a tapered undercut which mimics the shape of the sacrificial ring is formed.
