An apparatus comprising: a drive carrier assembly (DCA) including; an energy storage device having at least a portion thereof encased by a housing; and a printed circuit assembly to detect a power failure of a host computing device, wherein the printed circuit assembly has a first portion coupled to the energy storage device and a second portion coupled to a backplane of the host computing device.

An example apparatus comprises a drive carrier assembly which may include a memory device, and an energy storage device having at least a portion thereof encased in a housing. In some examples, the apparatus may include a printed circuit assembly to detect a power failure of a host computing device. The printed circuit assembly, may have a first portion coupled to the energy storage device and a second portion coupled to a backplane of the host computing device.

Drive carrier assemblies

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure an electro-magnetic interference (EMI) containment device is described. The EMI containment device includes a number of spring devices to maintain contact between an electronic module and an enclosure. The spring device includes a spring portion to contact an electronic module disposed in the enclosure. A guide device of the spring device controls movement of the spring portion and an alignment mechanism maintains alignment of the spring portion.

Examples described herein include an assembly. The assembly may be a heatsink assembly or some other cooling assembly (for example, a liquid cooling assembly). The heatsink or cooling assembly may include a heatsink or some other cooling means, such as a liquid cooling device. The heatsink or cooling assembly may include a base. The heatsink itself may connect to a base or the bottom of the heatsink may form the base. The base may interface or connect to a bolster plate. The base may interface or connect to a bolster plate via apertures in the base and fasteners included on the base and the bolster plate. The heatsink or cooling assembly may include one or more apertures to accept one or more guide pins and/or retention pins on the bolster plate. The base may include retention mechanisms positioned over the apertures to attach to retention pins on the bolster plate. The retention pins may be the guide pins with retention features.

In some examples, a method may be performed through light adjustment circuitry of a server that includes a panel light. The method may include identifying a server version of the server from a hardware configuration detected for the server and adjusting a light color of the panel light to account for a lighting variance characteristic of the server version.

Example implementations relate to a fan module assembly. One example fan module assembly includes a basepan housed in a chassis of a computing device. The basepan includes a distal end. The fan module assembly also includes a plurality of pins extending from the basepan. The plurality of pins includes a first pin and a second pin. The first pin and the second pin are staggered with respect to a plane defined by the distal end. The fan module assembly further includes a fan module attached to the basepan via the first pin and the second pin.

A computing device is disclosed. The example computing device includes an enclosure that houses an electrical component. The example computing device also includes a latch assembly disposed on the enclosure, the latch assembly to facilitate coupling the enclosure to a rack. The latch assembly includes an antenna which is communicatively coupled to the electrical component.

A computer chassis, including a number of removable walls wherein each removable wall includes a first side rail system comprising a number of first rails to receive a first size of a blade component, and a second side rail system comprising a number of second rails to receive a second size of a blade component. Examples described herein include air impeding structures with snap-in tabs. In some examples, an air impeding structure for a processing unit socket cover includes a main body encloses an interior space, a first snap-in tab, and a second snap-in tab. The main body may include a first curved wall at a first end of the main body connected to a second curved wall at a second end of the main body. The first snap-in tab extends below the first end of the main body and is recessed in relation to the first curved wall. The second snap-in tab extends below the second end of the main body and is recessed in relation to the second curved wall.

An example rail kit includes a bracket assembly that is attachable to opposing columns of a device rack, a middle rail that is slidably engaged by the bracket assembly, and an inner rail that is connectable to an electronic device and slidably engaged by the middle rail. The rail kit may include a rail lock that is attached to the bracket assembly and that is to, when the inner rail is not engaged by the middle rail and the middle rail is located at a first position that is forward of a fully retracted position, lock the middle rail by engaging a depression in the middle rail such that the middle rail is prevented from sliding rearward. The rail lock may be released as a result of the inner rail being slid toward a retracted position while engaged by the middle rail.

Example techniques for securing an expansion card in a computing device are disclosed. An example method includes securing a mounting bracket within the computing device. An adjustable retention clip is installed in a preferred location at the mounting bracket. An expansion card is then installed in a space created by the adjustable retention clip and the mounting bracket, and the expansion card is secured to the adjustable retention clip.

Examples described herein include socket covers with air impeding structures. In some examples, a processing unit socket cover comprises a base, an air impeding structure, and an engagement latch. The base may have a surface facing away from the socket and a perimeter defined by the surface. The air impeding structure may protrude from the surface and extend from a first side of the perimeter to a second side of the perimeter, diving the surface. The engagement latch may be connected to the air impeding structure to attach to the socket.

Example implementations relate to a fan guard device. One example fan guard device includes a frame to receive a fan. The example fan guard device includes a plurality of snaps extending in a first direction from the frame. The snaps engage the fan. The fan guard device includes at least one flexible member extending in the first direction from the frame to engage a flange of the fan. The flexible member may compress and remain in contact with the flange. The amount of compression of the at least one flexible member may accommodate a range of flange thicknesses of the fan.

Examples disclosed herein relate to a flexible living hinge for an identification pull tab. The flexible living hinge has a first shot area with a first portion of a first material and a second portion of a second material. The first portion has a first spring tail and a second sprint tail for attachment to a surface of a product and the second portion has a flat surface. A second shot area of a third flexible material is connected to the first portion and the second portion of the first shot area.

A fan module is provided herein. The fan module includes a fan, a fan diverter, and a guide pin. The fan diverter is formed in the fan module. The fan diverter includes a diverter wall and a torsion spring along the diverter wall to position the diverter wall. The guide pin is connected to the diverter wall. The guide pin is formed to engage with a guide path formed along a chassis bay to position the diverter wall.
