The invention is an apparatus, system, and or method that provides a compliant force distribution interface system for prosthetics or orthotics users, to suspend force loads around such user's body segments by utilizing a compliant fabric member adapted for positioning around the user's body segments.

Compliant force distribution system

A prosthetic joint system for users comprising a housing having an interior cavity, a center axis in said interior cavity, and an attachment means for fixedly connecting said housing to said user; an inner cylinder disposed in said housing interior cavity wherein said inner cylinder rotates around said center axis of said housing; an appendage attached to said inner cylinder; a sensor system attached to said appendage; and a dampening system, having a power source, in communication with said sensor system, said inner cylinder, and said housing for controlling dampening of the rotation of said inner cylinder around said center axis of said housing.

Electronically controlled prosthetic system

A vacuum pump system for a prosthesis device includes an enhanced suspension mechanism and cooperates with a pressure source, an adaptor assembly, circuitry, and a power source. A virtually air-tight seal between a residual limb and a socket of the prosthesis allows a vacuum fit to be generated by the pump system. The pump system may be controlled with various circuits and processors receiving instructions from a software program. The pump system may be located within a pylon, but yet remain vibrationally and acoustically de-coupled from the pylon.

A sound dampening method is employed to lessen both the sound and vibration generated from the vacuum source.

A bicycle seat shock absorber comprising a shaft for attaching to a bicycle frame, a contoured flat spring having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is attached to the shaft, a support member having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is attached to the spring and the second end is attached to the bicycle seat, a flexible first strap having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is connected to the spring first end and the second end is connected to the spring second end, and a flexible second strap having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is connected to the shaft and the second end is connected to the support member second end.

Shock absorbing assembly for a bicycle

Ultra low friction sheath for facilitating donning and wearing of a prosthesis on a residual limb. The sheath is configured to remain between the residual limb and the prosthesis during normal use of the prosthesis for its intended purpose. A low friction sheath can also be used to help don a shoe on a prosthetic foot.
